I am contemplating getting these to replace my black ice.   question is, can you lay the sticks directly on the bags that contain the beads?     i certainly don't want to damage my sticks, but if i can get some sacks for the bottom of the humidor and lay the sticks on tip or vice versa that...

i didn't know that.   all the research i did on line said to do exactly what i did.  nothing mentioned anything about a temp or a commercial freezer.     so what you 're saying is that unless we have a commercial freezer, we're screwed?

I had a pinhole in one of my sticks in the humidor.  I got very paranoid, emptied all of my sticks out, put them in the fridge, then in the freezer for 4 days, then back in the fridge, then let them sit at room temp, then back in the humidor.  The key is not to shock the sticks.  if they warm up...

haha, WOW!   Ya, i'm not a surgeon, nor a sturgeon.  I'm just a CT tech at a level 1 trauma center in hartford, ct.     And FWIW, surgeons/sturgeons don't boast about what they do.  Guy was probably FOS.       Glad I could bring you guys down memory lane!  :D

$25?   I've seen sites sell them for as much as $105 a pop.  A local tobaccanist by me is selling them for $50 a pop.     $25 sounds like a great deal!
