I recently moved from Tampa. Don't waste your time going to Thompsons; it blows on ice. Metropolitan Cigars is still there (or was 6 months ago anyway) and I also thought it was a cool store (not sure about prices either). Just go to Ybor City and you can visit several cigar stores as well as...
I had the same problem with the Monte platinums I smoked...just too expensive. I would also agree with the Trinidad naturals being in the same category, though I think the maduro is *almost* worth the price.
I've seen a lot more people in general smoking these cheapo cigars, including teens. The changes in marijuana use among teens does not account for the doubling in the sales of these cigars though, unless all of a sudden more kids are smoking blunts as opposed to joints or whatever. I would bet...
I'd go with good Crab Rangu, Hunan Chicken, or Wing Chong Poodle. The worst part about a lot of chinese food is that it is usually cooked in a sauce based on rendered lard, making it really unhealthy. Sure tastes good though.
Looks pretty nice overall. I would bet that it will hold about 150 random sized cigars with those dimensions. I have a 3 drawer 150 count that holds about 115 smokes that doesn't have the glass door in the front, and it has no problems maintaining 65%RH with beads.
I bought beads about 3 weeks ago and they are perfect. I have a 150 count humidor with 3 sawed-off 20oz soda bottles as containers. Before the beads were in it I had two hygrometers giving readings from 58-72% depending on a variety of circumstances. Since then, they have both been at exactly...
If you want to imbue the flavor of liquor into a cigar, there is a better way. Just place a 1/2 shot or so into a cigar box and let a cigar sit with it for a few days or so. I've done this using Bacardi Rum and a Cusano 18 because I have ten left that I am bored with. The cigar tasted a lot...
The last serie R I had was a #7 maduro aged for around 8 months. I thought it was somewhat bland, but definitely full-bodied. I just picked up a #5 of the natural and maduro...maybe the smaller ones will be better or the aging mellowed out the #7 too much. The best luck I have had recently...
A local B&M around here indicated that around father's day a lot of the more sought after Fuente stuff will be coming back, but not until then. I don't know if this is the case for everyone.
