I am an Assistant Professor of Music Theory at Youngstown State University in Youngstown, OH. I study the interactions between music and story, with particular attention to the work of Richard Wagner.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing boardgames, mostly European style and American wargames. As of late, I have purged myself of spending far too many hours playing World of Warcraft! I homebrew, and try to make at least two batches of beer per year, although it's been a while since my last batch. At one time, I was an avid skydiver, but after about 35 jumps, the cost became too prohibitive. Yes, I have this bad habit of getting into expensive, bad habits.
