    PM Spammer

I'll say one thing for this spammer: The PM notify brought me back to CP after a long absence! I'd better make myself comfortable and stick around for a bit.

    The "Nuclear Football" of humidors

Not just a little steep. They're quite pricey. I'm definitely not getting one. They're nearly double the price of some of Zero Halliburton's aluminum 3" briefcases. I'm not sure why they think so highly of the cigar case. Regardless of the pricetag, I just thought it was cool that it was the...

    The "Nuclear Football" of humidors

I found this today while trolling the internet. Apparently a company called Zero Halliburton makes the briefcase that is modified to make the "Nuclear Football", the President's mobile link to our nation's nuclear arsenal. Well, it turns out that this company also makes cigar cases. Nice...

How many people in your town are camped out for the PS3?

There were 7 camped out in front of Best Buy on Monday night when I was there. And yep, I also asked the rep what was going on and he confirmed it was for the PS3. I have a co-worker who bought two from Toys-R-Us this morning and was offered $3200 in the parking lot before he even made it to his...

Random Find -- Opus X cutter

$3500? Wow...I can think of a lot of other things I can do with that money. I like tools, but I much prefer cigars. If I can smoke a great cigar and click off a light with a Colibri or a box of matches, that's the way I'll do it. I can't smoke the lighter. I'm a cigar person, not a...

Random Find -- Opus X cutter

I'm dating a readhead, but I still think that's a lot to ask for a cutter.

Random Find -- Opus X cutter

I found this cutter online today randomly. Forgive me if anyone has already posted it, but I searched and didn't see a thread on it already. Prepare to part with your wallets, gents. :0 Presenting the S.T. Dupont Fuente Fuente Opus X Cigar Cutter Limited Edition...

    Help with IDing Suspected Fake

It does, however, still look like it might be a fine smoke now that we've seen the pictures. No veins, good cap, nice sheen. I'll give you $5 for it. ;)

    Any Geocachers here?

I'm getting ready to start. A lot of my friends do it, and we have a lot of caches here. I'm just trying to get time/remember to research a good handheld unit that won't dent my cigar budget too much. ;)

Strategies for when things get sideways.

I'm by no means an expert on fixing a run, but I'll share what I do. A "supplemental" light is exactly how I address the issue. I used to try to puff the cigar while lighting the lagging edge, but I found that it only made the run slightly deeper and made the exact correction difficult to see. I...

I just had a sick AF 858 Maddie...

Well, I have had one Padron that was plugged (was passed it from a friend who had the same opinion), but you're right. They're typically very consistent. I have yet to have a problem with the consitency of the AF line, but I do also agree about the difficulty in getting their top products. It's...

    I need a better camera

I agree as well. Very nice, and great sticks in there as well. Now just to work on that camera issue!

La Gloria Cubana Reserva Figurado Felicias

Hmmm...I appreciate this thread. I like LGC's as well (having named my car "Gloria" after the Serie R), and I'll have to pick one of these up.

What cigar did you loose your "virginity" to

Mine was a maduro of about 7" of length and a healthy ring gauge back when I was 17 years old. I was given it on a camping trip by two deacons of my church (in the days when I was religious). I have no idea what brand it was, but it was a quality smoke and I recall that they said it was Dominican.

    Gas Prices

I can find it for $2.75 for regular here in Tennessee (where most things are cheap) if I really look, but my car takes premium only so I can count on adding $0.20 to that for every gallon. Average today seems to be around $2.85/gallon for regular.

    Cohiba Maduros in 2007 !

I love a good maduro, but I too am a bit wary of what the price tag will read. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Another awesome cigar offer I found

Many thanks to CgarDan...I just made my order! Hopefully the temperature here (also in the 90's) won't be too much of an issue with the shipping.
