The "shoulder" strap comes off and the belt loop on the back can accommodate other carry choices. When I go off on activities, unprotected delicate items like cigars usually end up broken. So I need them protected from that. Thanks, Mike

I'm at the moment smoking Acid Cold Infusions. I like the size at around 6.5" X 48 or so ring size. My favorite places to enjoy a smoke usually require a fairly intense hike. To just grab a cigar or a few and go needs a carry method that I just couldn't find (or at least not to my liking). So...
