    Opus X in tins

Also, note that the tins are pinched at the top to form three round-ish holes for cigars. It's not just a wide mouth. You can kinda see this in the photo. So, it makes it difficult to put anything the same size or larger in them. I bought the larger pack, gonna use it as a 'show' robusto...

    The screw you thread!

puff, that sucks and i'm sorry to hear about this happening. I've always been of the opinion that every cigar shop owner should be a BOTL first, and a shop owner first. The two halves of this business are equally important, because this is a hobby/habit under constant fire from society and...

La Flor Dominicana - Double Ligero Chisel Maduro

Wow are these strong. I really gotta watch myself when smoking these; eat good first, smoke slow, pace that nicotene, take a sip of water, take a few deep clean breaths, take a small puff and enjoy the flavor. Absolutely delicious, but IMO too strong to enjoy as a regular smoke (at least for me).

    The trend towards larger cigars

IMO, its the American culture effect on n00bs, and with the fast growth of cigar smoking, it's a n00bs market right now. They're gonna assume bigger is better, and to succeed manufacturers have to meet that demand. As the current crop refines their tastes, and tries different vitolas, I expect...

    Less expensive smokes...

Lemme get this straight...if I rescind my citizenship I get: free healthcare, no taxes, cheaper/easier drivers license, lower rate mortgages, AND I can smoke cubans? Some BOTL needs to find out how to do this!

    A pleasant surpise....

I got one of these in the JR Halloween "special" I got a long narrow one, had to be Cetro or Corona. Anyway, similar experience to yours, very tasty cigar, and though I don't usually nub I smoked this one to the end. I normally don't like Honduran sticks, but this one had alot of...

Cigar Monster - Famous Nic 3000 Torpedos!

On the Monster again! In torp size, $35 for 20, free shipping! Though personally, i've tried the robusto, torp and double robusto, and I like the torp size the least. Not bad with 5 months on them though.

    Ashes Ashes all fall down...

I used to do it the "traditional" way, let it fall where it may. Then my friends started complaining about the ash I left all over their rugs, end tables, cats, etc. So, now I usually tap it after it gets pretty long.

Where do you buy your cigars

Mostly online lately, with some singles at the local places. Local had a few Anejos, so picked a few 5'ers up there. There are alot of good bundles online that are hard/impossible to find local. If i'm going out to eat with family, we usually stop in at whatever local place for a few...

    El Mejor Esperesso

Yes, I like them very much, and as stated the flavors are very easy to pick out. Strongest coffee/chocolate flavor i've ever tasted in a cigar, I suspected (still do a little) that these may be 'infused' with flavor. Anyway, an enjoyable stick IMO, gonna pick up a bundle later definitely...

    Opus Aging

Yes, but if in a few years time he find he DOESN'T like them, he's still sitting on a few well-aged Opus. Excellent trading and/or bombing material.

Cigar Monster - Famous Nic 3000 Torpedos!

Age is very important to the new batch. I bought some of the second batch, the 6x60, which had been in the warehouse some months before they sold out again. Smoked GREAT, heavenly. Then I got another bundle, the replenishment batch, torps this time, came to me with just a few days in the...

Cigar Monster - Famous Nic 3000 Torpedos!

Edited above to reflect new sale. I know most of us already check Cigar Monster every day, but IMO these were/are exceptionally good sales members should check out if they don't regularly. Usually CM posts odd sizes, second or third tier brands, with a few gems like these.

    Gurkha G3

Great review, great pics! I just had one last week, and agree with your review. Looks amazing, super elegant packaging. The smell off this stick sent me into paroxysms of pleasure! Like a super dark chocolate. I really enjoyed this stick, even though I don't usually like ligero wrappers at all.

    Gurkha Question

I have to agree, and thanks again for the awesome sampler pack of Ghurkhas! In my experience they taste OK, flavor is usually light, good morning sticks for the most part. There are better and more full-flavored sticks out there for much less money. Packaging is top-notch though, so a good...
