Anyone else get a PM from a noob with a link to a russian website?

just woke and went onto CP and that punk PM me. Deleted it before I even open up his message.

He must be desperate to spread his link around because even -=>I<=- got a PM from him! Credit to Rod though, by the time I checked the message the link had already been stripped out of it.

BTW, HI Everyone!

Yep, I got hit with some crap, deleted and blocked user until Rod gets a chance to delete him.

Got it too!

I sure as hell didn't click the link...but google searching "iefa.ru" came back with

"Swingers, Free Adult Chat & Adult Personals Site - Adult FriendFinder
Adult FriendFinder, Your Ultimate Source Free Sex Personals, Adult Dating, Amateurs & Swingers."

God knows what sort of malicious script, spyware, and other nastiness awaits if you click that link.

I got it too. Saw the .ru at the end of the URL and didn't even consider clicking it.

At the forum where I moderate, we have the PM system set that you have to have at least 10 posts to send a PM.

If Rod can set this forum software up the same way, it will stop this kind of BS in its tracks.
Yes and no; spammers and the more sophisticated spambots can easily spam their way to ten posts then flood the PM system. Seen it in action.

Only really effective gate is to have all new users that register go into a queue where someone has to approve them. That will stop 99% of the issue before it starts.

Nothing like morning spam, toasted and thrown away.

I didnt see where my link went, soon as I saw the link, I laughed and BALEEETED.

Mine went to AdultFriendfinder.com.

You mean your home page :whistling:

The interesting part? My email showed zero new notices of a PM, and still does not show that PM, yet that PM was there when I logged on.

Damn John I owe you an apology! The PM I got this morning was a porn site and I just assumed they all were so when I saw you complaining about it I tried to bust your balls and just now realized what you posted......I apologize bro!

I got it too. Link was to a adult friend finder website, naughty porn.

We had that as well, but it turned out to be more of a hassle than it was worth. And when they have to spam to make PMs its easier to nip them in the bud quickly.

How about a $10 membership fee that is applied to your first CP purchase?
