New Scientist Magazine reports that dairy farmers are five times less likely to have lung cancer.
Farmers typically breath in large amounts of dust from cow manure, with all the bacteria and germs that grow in it, and unexpected links between our exposure to dirt and germs and cancer are being discovered.
Scientists say that high incidences of cancer in affluent populations may be due to a sanitized life.
Jusr as children exposed to germs are less likely to develop leukaemia, adults exposed to dirt and germs could build up a resistence to bugs, even cancer.
The magazine goes on to say that just as vaccines can do the trick for melanoma, it is possible that a variety of vaccinations could reduce cancer risk.
My opinion is that cigars are my protection.
