Crystal Head Vodka

I've been meaning to pick up a bottle of this but everytime I'm in the liquor store I am there to get something else. Given the price I may not get to this till later this year.

I'd like to get it too, but only for the bottle. On those rare occasions that I want vodka, Stoli Elit is the ticket, and cheaper. No Crystal Head in my future, I think.

After seeing this thread, it reminded me of a vodka a remember seeing online a number of years ago...

Kalashnikov Vodka... wonder how it tastes.

I bought this last week "just to keep the bottle as a decoration." Turns out that I opened this thing up and it really is great Vodka. I'm kinda a snob though, I hate Grey Goose, can stand Stoli Triple and Love Ketel and now this stuff. I drink it up-martini style or with a splash of soda. Def good stuff! ...Now I need another bottle.

So it was at the Bar and they had this so tried it on the rocks, and it was definably smooth overall, I smelled some flowery notes, but personally think most of the money went to marketing. I got through most of the glass but it was a not my type of vodka so I added some pineapple juice, and can say it makes a great expensive mixer!

Great review Sam. I actually picked up a bottle back in October down at Total Wine in Delaware. I shopping for a little get together at my house and saw the bottle. Just had to have it. I dont think I paid quite as much as you but I know it was in the high $40's (at least). I recently read in the PLCB (Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board) magazine that its going to be carried in the Wine and Spirit stores in PA now. I haven't tried it yet but am really looking forward to it after reading your review. I'd also like to get my hands on that Kalashnikov Vodka but I definitely haven't seen that one yet.

I am definitely a vodka drinker. I am not quite a vodka snob yet but I am getting there. My favorite is getting my hands on some of the regional stuff or rather bottles I cant get here in PA. Some co-workers from our office in Minnesota sent me a bottle of Shakers. Its a local company out that way. Bottle shaped like a shaker (duh). Pretty cool. Haven't tried that one yet either  (

Note to self: Make more time in schedule to drink!

It's made it to Erie. Last week, I was sitting in the bar at the local casino and spotted it. They had the bottle sitting on an underlighted display. It looked cool as hell. Didn't try it, though.

I figured all the money went into marketing, rather than the product, so why buy a 'gimmick'. I'll have to try it on the next trip.

I've looked around here in michigan but have been unable to locate it. :( If anyone here knows of a place near metro detroit that stocks it...let me know!

Has anyone seen this or picked it up yet? I can't find it anywhere near me and was wondering if anybody has found it yet I would really appreciate any help on this.

Linky to official site.

After looking in just about every liquer store I drive by from here to Livingston Nj. I finally found a few bottles at a store in Livingston yesterday. I can't wait for the perfect time to try it and maybe, just maybe I'll have to post a review.

WooHoo "Product of Canada". I am glad to hear this isn't just a cool bottle with some hair spray thrown in it.
