This bourbon is a helluva buy pure and simple. If it has a fault that would be the front-end or nose is hellaciously sweet blinding some of the other flavors that make a bourbon more complex. I can live with that for the price. The price is the main reason you'd buy this over the obviously more complex bourbons such as Woodford or Knob Creek and if you're used to drinking those you won't be spitting this out.
This stuff just begs for being mixed with slightly bittler metallic water and a twist. Pair it with one of the more "hoary" cigars like a Padron and you'll be digging the somewhat sweet minerally wet against the mocha dry. This stuff really is a wang-dang bargain. It is entirely respectable at a bargain-basement price. Don't miss it.
