Fave. Martini?

Ya know, I gotta say Dave Frank hit the nail right on the head, Bombay Sapphire, very little dry vermouth (or just a glance at the vermouth bottle is usually good enough for me) and bleu cheese stuffed olives. Dave, I have those quite often, must be the "great minds....." theory, right?

I keep the martini glasses in the freezer at all times, just in case.

My wife really likes Raspberry Martini:

vodka
Chambord
frozen raspberries
sugar the rim

after a couple... I'm lucky guy.

Tanqueray No. 10, splash extra dry vermouth and 3 jalapeno stuffed olives. Very tasty.

My favorite martini!

Easy!

V E N T U R E' S Expresso Martini

This was made by a very good friend of mine ... Dan. He is the Bartender at the Samba Grill (Brazilian Bar-B-Q) in the Mirage Casino in Las Vegas!

1 part expresso
2 parts Stolichnaya Vanilla Vodka
1 part Godiva chocolate liqueur
1 part Frangelico liqueur

powdered sugar rimmed martini glass

Mixing instructions:
The trick is to have several shots of expresso made in advance and cooled down, chilled if you will. If you try to shake it hot it melts the ice to much and waters down the martini and they suck that way.
Add all ingredients into a shaker, add ice. Shake the livin' daylights out of it for about 20 seconds. Strain into large chilled matini glass rimmed lightly with powdered sugar.

This will keep you awake to enjoy the drunk longer. All the sweet stuff makes for a fantastic hangover. It is awsome with any light to medium cigar.

If your ever in Vegas, drop by the Samba Grill in the Mirage. The bar only seats like 5-6 people. It's just there for serving the people eating. The first round takes about 15-20 minutes because he has to get the kitchen to make him the expresso, then he has to chill it. So... have your favorite cocktail while waiting for this famous V E N T U R E martini.
Tell him Michael from California sent you. If he gives you that puzzled look, like who the heck is that, say.. Cigars? He'll figure it out.

Ohhh bring lots of $$ they ain't cheap! :( But they are addictive. :)

get a liter bottle. put 750 ml of your favorite gin in it. add the (whole, carefully peeled in one long strand) zest of one lemon. fill it with noilly prat dry vermouth. put it in the freezer with the glasses. let chill.
done. pour as desired.

Beefeaters, little to no vermouth, with pickled onions on a pick. Yeah, baby.......

Love a dirty martini! 2 parts vodka, one part olive juice, dash of dry vermouth, drop in a couple of olives....oh man...I might just go have one!!
