I just saw this the other day... I thought it was going to be all "scary," but it really wasn't... I thought it was pretty sweet. Anyone else have a chance to see it?

Edit: Spelling

Watched it last night (online :D). It was aight. I'm sticking with the original Omega Man with Charlton Heston!

I saw it and really enjoyed it. It wasn't as much action as I expected but I thought the story line was pretty well done.

I'm about a 3rd into the movie... kinda freaky. Can't say much else so far except WHOH easy with the product placement!!!

Took my boys 13 and 15
Yeah those Fords....
I found myself thinking gas only lasts about a year. Where is he getting gas for those FORDS

I liked the end credits where they played Bob Marly Redemption song but I like Joe Strummers version way better

We did see an extended trailer for RAMBO and my Son said to me "whats a Rambo?"

OK Before y'all flame me to death I have all three in my netflix que
I will get those boys up to speed

 I wondered "Why Ford?" the whole movie, except for that Mustang, that was an awesome car.

As for "how did he get gas", it shows at one point (If I'm wrong tell me) that he was pumping it out at a gas station, from the underground tank.

But gas goes bad over time.
I use 110 octane in my race car and I have some left over after races. The guy came over to my shop one time and tested some of my left over gas after only 60 days and it was stored in an approves 55 gallon drum and it was only 93.
Imagine plain old 87 stored under ground for 6 months to a year?

At any rate I guess its just a movie. I will shut up and eat more popcorn

I thought the story was very well told and that Will Smith carried the role admirably. Now if the rest of the audience were to understand that the movie is about being alone and QUIET and facing the struggles without being able to TALK to someone near you I would have enjoyed it more.

On a different note: Tim Burton, Johnny Depp,Helen bonham-carter--- Sweeny Todd ---- I can not imagine it being done (on screen) any better.

My wife and I just saw this. I thought it was a very well thought out plot and storyline. I really enjoyed the jumps and thrills that it brought. My wife on the other hand thought it sucked. She doesn't like "fake" movies that couldn't happen.

I had my doubts when I knew it was a Will Smith movie... and wasn't disappointed in being disappointed.

A horror without any horror, a drama with no drama, and a comedy that fell short of being funny. "I was saving that bacon!!" It's two hours I won't get back from my life that I could have spent smoking a good cigar.

Thank you! Thats what movies are supposed to do; take us away from reality for a couple of hours and let are imaginations run free for a little bit.

I thought the movie was fairly well done, being an adaptation. The novelette was better (as it almost always is) and the main "horror" parts of teh story were left out of the film. I think it would have been much better if the "monsters" weren't mindless (like in the book when his former carpool buddy and best friend comes by every night to taunt him and try to get him out of his house). I won't give away too much from teh book, except to say it is worth reading - just keep in ind when you buy the new release - it's a short story collection, the story for "I Am Legend" is only the first hundred pages and most of the rest of the stories are unmemorable.

I also noticed Will Smith had to be the ubersmart - ultra hero again, rather than the painful process Robert goes through in the book to learn about disease and blood to try to work on a solution. Smith's version of Robert is already a specialist when everything goes wrong....hmmmm.

The end of the novela was better, but i liked how they made Nevel a scientest. To give the story a happy ending destroyed it. Hopfuly they don't do the same for the Rising/ City of the Dead

I truly enjoyed the film and have heard a lot about how I need to read the novelette. The one thing that popped out at me from the beginning, and maybe it was meant to be a little satire to show how great everything in the world is going at that point. In the beginning of the film, the very first thing you hear is a sports analyst discussing who he believes will be in the World Series. They mention New York as usual for the AL and probably Chicago in the NL (WTF, that would be the Cubs... like they have a shot at going to the WS ;) ). It continues with the scroller along the bottom and shows the Knicks continuing their win streak. I thought, it would be fitting that the Knicks would be winning and the Cubs would finally have the WS in sight when the world ends.
