JW Double Black Now Available!

Shopper's Vineyard makes it sound really good, then again, they're selling it.

Anyone else have any thoughts or reviews of this?

Absolutely delicious. Honestly my favorite JW and it has replaced Black as my go-to JW label. Personally I find it to be a nice balance between the flavors and allows you to enjoy the underlying tones. For me, I do not enjoy the insanely peaty scotches, but this is a preference and perhaps due to my unrefined scotch palette. IMHO, for the price it is definitely worth a shot if you're seeking a more balanced scotch.

For reference. I am not a huge scotch drinker and do have a limited background. I've sampled various scotches from the various regions and I prefer the lighter, more balanced blends from the Lowland and Speyside regions. The handful I've had from Islay are too smokey for my palette and those from Highland are usually hit or miss.

Seeing as JW was my first dive into the world of scotch, I think I must try this asap.
Hey Michael, did you order yours or find it locally?
