and the half-naked anorexic model makes me wonder...

The Opus Forbidden X cigars at Casa Fuente. A BBMF was $150 per stick!

Yeah, but I know they can be had for around $55, maybe even less. I think all would agree the prices at Casa are a bit inflated! :0

You can get the Opus 22 Box from 2005 for I believe $700 retail, but it's hard to figure out the "per stick" price because it's an assortment, and some of those are worth much more than the others.

You know Wurm....I was thinking the samething when I went back there yesterday.

Sure would love one of those rare Gurkahs.....for free! ;)

I did see a couple of boxes of pre-embargo Cubans at a B&M in Orlando - $275 per stick

Well this isn't exactly mainstream, cause you won't find them.

But Gurkha sells "His Majesty's Grand Reserve" boxes for an MSRP of $10,000.00 for a box of 20.

They only make 10 boxes a year.

So I guess that gets down to about $500.00 per stick. But like I said, you're not gonna find it in your local B&M, so doesn't really count.

I saw this on another board:

Gurkha 'His Majesty's Reserve'
Introducing, the world's most expensive cigar.

Gurkha represents the highest tier of super-premium cigars. Blended by Kaizad Hansotia, each cigar is a true masterpiece that celebrates the history-rich art of hand-rolled cigars. Thanks to over a century of tradition, experience and knowledge, the Gurkha name has become widely known as the Rolls Royce of cigars, providing a savory and memorable experience appreciated by even the most critical of enthusiasts. An experience other top boutique brands strive to offer.

“His Majesty’s Reserve”, often shortened to “HMR”, is regarded as the finest cigar in the world. Featured in Maxim Magazine, this elusive cigar is a far cry from commonplace, due to its rare ingredients and expensive, time consuming process.

First, the tobaccos. The Cibao Valley of the Dominican Republic is responsible for growing the country’s finest, most flavorful and sought after leaves. Only the top percentage of leaves from select crops is hand-selected to serve as filler and binder for His Majesty’s Reserve. These exquisite tobaccos, Dominican Cuban Piloto, undergo an extensive aging process. The Connecticut Shade wrapper chosen is best of breed. Silky, smooth and vein-free, utilization of this gorgeous leaf begins with a 5+ year aging process, followed by a fermentation period of at least 7 months.

When all is said and done, the tobaccos enter phase 2, a phase which sets His Majesty’s Reserve a cut above the rest. The carefully treated long-leaf fillers and binders are slowly enhanced by the luxurious nuances of Louis XIII Cognac, the most prized (and expensive) of spirits – roughly $1,300 per bottle. This painstaking process requires a minimum of 1 year to complete.

His Majesty’s Reserve is more than just a cigar, it is a memorable experience that few will ever have, but those that do will cherish each puff. From the masterfully balanced bouquet of buttery smooth flavors to the intoxicating aromas, this cigar is the absolute epitome of world’s finest.

MOst expensive cigars would
be VINTAGE CUBAN Davidoff and or Dunhills.

Non cuban.
I would say the rarer/limited production OPUS X cigars.

Not even close... :)

Gurkha stands tall among the highest tier of ultra-premium handmade cigars. Carefully blended by Kaizad Hansotia using the finest tobaccos money can buy, each cigar is a work of art that pays homage to the tradition of hand-rolled cigars. Over a century of tradition goes into every cigar that carries the Gurkha name, a name that is often referred to as the "Rolls Royce" of cigars. Gurkha cigars, proving that a great cigar is much more than just a cigar, it’s an unforgettable experience to last a lifetime.

Without further ado, we give you "His Majesty’s Reserve." The most expensive cigar in the world. Featured in Maxim Magazine, normally this elusive cigar can only be acquired at the top casinos of the world, or by specially ordering a box through Gurkha directly.

Far from commonplace, "His Majesty’s Reserve" is one of the rarest super-premium in the world, due to the ingredients used and time consuming process to complete each cigar. The binder and filler tobaccos hail from the Cibao Valley of the Dominican Republic. This valley is well known for producing the Dominican’s finest, most sought after leaves. With each crop, every Dominican Cuban Piloto leaf cultivated is hand inspected, yielding the smallest of percentages for "His Majesty’s Reserve." To complete this blend, only the silkiest, highest-grade Connecticut shade wrappers are chosen. Prior to an aging period of 5 years, this choice leaf is fermented for 7 months to achieve optimum color and flavor.

Still, "His Majesty’s Reserve" is not complete. After the fermentation and aging processes have been completed, the tobaccos are slowly introduced to the luxurious subtleties of Louis XIII Cognac. This exquisite cognac is considered to be the best in the world, commanding a price of $1,300 per bottle. This gradual infusion requires a minimum of 1 year to complete.

When all is said and done, the Gurkha "His Majesty’s Reserve" offers an experience that few will ever have the chance to experience. But, those that do will savor every last buttery-smooth puff. A deliciously balanced bouquet of rich, creamy flavors mingle with a mouthwatering aroma to complete the super-premium of super-premiums.

MSRP: $750 per cigar.

I know where to get a box of HMR's for $8K if anyone wants to do a split :p

30th Anniversary Cohiba one of the rarest modern cigars ever made. There were only 45 humidors of 50 cigars each made for the 30th anniversary of the Cohiba brand.

The humidor with cigars was 2,000 and is now selling for 30,000 so 600 a cigar

They have smaller bottles of Louis for $200 at liquor stores in town. For $750 you could buy 2 of those, a box of really good cigars, and still have $$ left to go out for a steak afterwards. Just IMHO.

As far as cigars you actually have a chance of finding in stores these days, the Zino Platinum Crown line runs in the $30 range, as well as the Graycliff line. The latter is def. worth trying at some point.

Cigars international has them listed at 400 a stick if you look under the list of singles.

I had to pass on them this time... ;)

Yeah, I recently saw that. Think there was a few going on CBid as well.

Anyone wanna do a stick split? I figure we can cut it about 20 ways and everyone can get a nub for about 20 bucks

How about for a current, reasonably easy to find stick?

The cigar kiosk at the Las Vegas Airport had the Padron 40th Anny for $150 per stick!!!
