I just read an article about the island of Niihau a few days ago so did a little more research on it and thought I would post some stuff here.  Enjoy.

After reading these and a few other links contained in them I found out something I never knew before.  The owners do offer helicopter tours that land on the island and allow you to spend time on some the beaches, as well as a full day hunting safari.  My wife and I may try to go one day.  If anyone ever heads to Kauai or wants to do some hunting in Hawaii, this would be something worth looking at.

I would love to check that out.  I think I told you that I work at the Pacific Aviation Museum, and I talk about Shiganori Nishikaichi almost daily when I have field trips and tour groups.  I'm incredibly fascinated about not only his story, but Ni'ihau in general.  Thanks for the links.

Was that the pilot that crashed their on December 7th? Interesting story though I don't know much about it. Next time we meet up you'll have educate me.

That would be the pilot.  Very interesting (and somewhat controversial) story.
