Looking to get your opinions, on the 2009 & 2010 ELs that were actually produced and available.

Which ones do you think are must smokes or worth putting away?

Bolivar Petit Belicosos Edicion Limitada 2009 was decent. It won't break the bank either.

I blew thru 2 boxes of RA Celestial (sp) Finos(RE)...if that's any indication.

The Mag 48EL from 09 are a go to smoke - somewhat floral to be honest...unexpected.

The Duke was tasty...but the first two really shined.

If I were looking, I'd track down a box of Party - 5's!

I havn't hit any 2010 yet....GB?

:whistling:

I know you said LE's, but the Bolivar Especiales No. 2, RE (Germany) are smoking great!

I was in Germany quite a bit this summer and smoked quite a few of the Bolis and must agree that they were very tasty.

I cannot recommend the Montecristo Grand Edmundo EL 2010.

Both of the ones I had from two different shops were bland and one dimensional.

The normal Edmundo is the better cigar.

You were in Germany? Bastige!

Spangdahlem and Ramstein 18 to 30 hours at a clip.

I hope you get some downtime soon brother... that's a crazy schedule.

I definetly have enjoyed the Duke the most with the H. Upmann Mag 48 running a close second. Was not to impressed with the Boli Petit Beli, but what do I know

Only one I enjoyed were the HU Mag48. The others I tried weren't bad cigars, just nothing special to earn the EL or RE moniker. In the case of the Grand Edmundo, it should have carried the Craptastic band...but then again, I've never been a fan of the Monte marca.

Anyone try the Boli Petit Beli '09 LEs?

Really?

You know who's sad about that?

I really enjoyed the H Upmann Mag48, and I have a box en route for yearly sampling. I can't speak for any of the other LE's though.

heh, buy two normal Edmundo for the same prize, you'll thank me later.

Unfortunately, I already have a box of the Edmundo ELs.

(maybe with some time ... I'll just "forget" these are in the humi.)

I'd avoid the Trini Short Robusto T. It was bitter with an aftertaste of bitter. I felt like when I was in high school and got cottonmouth.

Thanks for all the input. I guess REs are the way to go, price wise and taste wise. :D
