Thanks, Islesfan, for running this down.

Not ten minutes ago (unaware of your post), I got off the phone with "Jeff" at cigar.com. He confirmed what you stated, noting that the companies share receiving/shipping docks, but they do not share inventory or staff.

He claimed to have no knowledge of the inner workings of CI/Cbid, or of the comcept of cigar forums in general.

I'm still mulling this over. ??? But I'll probably end up trying a small order, and report back to the forum.

Can I add my 2 cents? I have placed 3 orders with cigar.com and all were in my hands a whole day before they were supposed to be. I would not hesitate to order again.
