Well, it finally did it. Mt Redoubt blew it's top off late this evening. Ash cloud at this time is projected to hit 50K feet and spread ash through a wide area including Anchorage. I'm turning off all the electronics in the house and unplugging them - volcanic ash is very fine, abrasive and creates a lot of static. Don't need tv's, computers and everything else controlled by circuitry getting zapped! Went thru this in '92 as well - I'm sure we'll be on emergency runs only at work tomorrow, and all computers turned off, and so on.

At least I have cigars enough to last me thru this!

I hope all is well after everything settles down, be safe brother........ :)

Be safe and remember

"Now my girl quickly said to me
Man, you'd better watch your feet
That lava comes out soft and hot
You better lova me now or lova me not
I don't know
I don't know
I don't know where I'm a gonna go
When the volcano blow "

:D sorry i am a Parrot head i couldn't resist.

Keep your head and stay safe. Good luck.

Yikes, Swissy. I'd say have a smoke and watch the show but it seems that it's Mother Nature's turn to smoke

Stay safe.
