what is your favorite environment to smoke a cigar in? i personally like being at a club or bar lighting up with a bunch of buddies and good music playing in the background.

Anywhere I can enjoy a good smoke. Had a great herf in a sidewalk bar setting in the city, friends and cigars in the middle of the hussle and bussle. Got a kick out of my wife's uncle smoking a gifted ISOM on a deck at their house, 15 years I've known him and first time I saw him just sit and relax, he didn't get up the whole hour. Just sitting at night under my carport watching the stars come out and the neighborhood at rest.
Thats just a couple, could name alot more.....

I found me a sweet little cigar shop in my hood with those antique leather couches and everytime i walk in i get a delicious double shot of cuban coffee and pick a nice cigar out of the wide selection, then grab the latest CA magazine and read through it while mellow music is playing in the background.
HMMM.....HMMM....how sweet it is. :)

Around a poker table or on the porch or under the lanai over my pool...wife won't allow smoking in the house.

Florida does not allow smoking in public places that serve food, I have 2 cigar stores that I frequent to have a cigar on occassion

Not true

Lincoln Road by South Beach is an outdoor mall and i go down there with the wife sometimes and light up a stogie with a cup of java no problem.

The bar at The Racquet Club. Perfect smoking environment. Cell phones not allowed, large leather chairs, high ceilings, wide selection of scotch, bourbon and wines. (I didn't say a great selection because the posts of AVB have brought out the shortcomings of their selections) That is where I enjoy smoking the best.

We have a bar on the second floor of a hotel here. That is where I usually go to have a cigar. They have a great drink selection and there is a veranda that spans the front of the hotel where we sit and have drinks and cigars. I also enjoy smoking on the beach in the evenings, or out on our dock at our lakehouse.

I love lighting up on the patio on a nice summer night right around the time it starts to get dark. I just sit back and stare at the stars and forget about all the problems of the day.

Being in NYC my options are pretty limited. Pretty much, at home, at a buddy's house playing poker, or, hopefully more regularly in the future, at a herf.

In the car.

You don't worry about bothering anyone with that "horrible smoke"

I was in Atlantic City this weekend. At one point I was playing blackjack and I lit up a cigar. The smoke was obviously bothering the dealer and she gave me a lot of dirty looks.

Eventually someone made a comment to the effect of, gee, the smoke is really bothering her. My response? Sorry, but if smoke bothers you casino dealer was a bad line of work to choose.

BINGO!!

This is the argument they used in Connecticut to push through the smoking ban in bars and restaurants (and across the country too I suppose), "the second hand smoke is harmful to the employees of establishments therefore we need to pretect their health"

Just like other1 said, they WTF are you in that line of work for? If coal dust bothers you, don't be a coal miner.

What cracks me up about many bartenders is that on their breaks, the go outside and smoke a cigarette :p Now granted it's not like there was an organized effort of the part of bartenders to pass anti smoking laws, I'm just sickened how the anti smoking Nazis used this line of crap to convince legislators to pass this nonsense.

I can only hope that blackjack dealer has her table full of cigar smokers as often as possible. She was just plain outright rude and as you mentioned, should not be in that line of work. I'm sure tha casino can transfer her to the toilet cleaning staff if the smoke from the CUSTOMERS bothers her so much :p

I used to spend a lot of time in casinos smoking cigars and NO casino employee at Foxwoods or the Mohegan Sun ever gave me or anyone else any crap about smoking cigars in their presence.

other1, aren't you closer to Connectiuct's Indian casinos than Atlantic City?

TIME FOR A HERF!

At the cigar shop (Sabor Havana) with the fellas.

I also smoke with a buddy in West Palm. His balcony has an ocean/ pool view :D

I love smoking in a hot tub. Other favorites include at my club while shooting pool or watching a game and while taking a nice leisurely stroll through the 'hood :D

There are not too many places I can think of where I don't enjoy smoking a cigar. Being here in the Hawaiian Isles, there is no shortage of places to enjoy the beauty and marvel of nature, environment or an outstanding cigar. Mostly I enjoy them right on my porch, overlooking the deep blue ocean. Anytime of day or night. But anywhere is fine with me. :)

hey lucasbuck, you said you love smoking in a hot tub, i have been thinking of doing that but i was always worried that the cigar would get too moist due to all that steam that raises out of the water. does it have any serious affect?

I like to smoke in my back yard. We have a water garden filled with Koi Fish. I like to have a rum and coke and a cigar while watching the fish play. Also I have a smoke shop near where I smoke with the guys once or twice a week.

I like to smoke on the balcony over looking the valley and the city. I also like to smoke after a hectic day in the truck on the way home. And, when it gets late and everybody is in bed, I like to smoke in my office (where the ventilation system is now complete - sucks the smoke out like V8 vacuum).

I think the best time with some company I enjoy. I like to smoke with one of my brother-in-laws. He appreciates a quiet conversation about our wives (they're sisters) or money, or the kids. He's not into making it a big deal, just a relaxing break from the hub bub of life.

Once in a while, I'll get our coaching staff together for pizza, beer, and a few cigars. Sometimes even a poker game breaks out. I like to smoke on the golf course, and on the boat.

Taco Tuesday at Arts Bar & Grill in Riverside, CA. Lots of crotchety FOGs sit out on the terrace and light up while telling stories of how the next generation is f**king things up. With Big Band era music and tumbler drinks, I'm the youngest in the crowd. Once in a while they'll look in my direction and sometimes ask what I think, but I don't talk much in this crowd. The ol' seen and not heard adage. (I'm 33 and the next youngest is 65).

I'm a firm believer that cigars, like other things, allow men to be men. Not macho types, just men. And when the ladies come around, the manly talk turns into gentlemanly talk. I learn a lot from other cigar smokers. Sort of a right of passage I suspect.

At the Westbury Square Cigar Shop, where there's game tables, sports on tv, and poker every Thursday night and they're open until at least midnight. Very laid back, with lockers in the humidor to store some cigars and liquor.

when im by myself: in the pool, under the lanai, or at this little clubhouse my neighborhood has. if im with my friends then we go to the beach or walk around an outdoor mall.
