Today's Smoke 2024

I was originally going to post this about three hours ago. Had my snacks lined up, drink ready, an episode of punisher ready to go. Joe’s pole barn life. Then I see headlights, and my 87 year old neighbor came over to say hi. Three hours and a 12 pack of Busch light later, and watching to make sure my neighbor made it home, finally getting my cigar.
Trying new cigars for the first time might actually be my favorite, even more than grabbing a stick from a box that I know is going to be amazing.

I enjoy the heck out of these. They were made in the DR by the late Rolando Antonio Villamil. He blended for Epic Cigars and Kristoff. The tobacco's are Dom. Olor and Nic. tobacco's bound by Dom Piloto. The a wrapper is from Ecuador and is never named because of a trademark issue. Anyway... everyone I have smoked has a loppy burn, kind of annoying if you aren't ready for it. But a few touch ups keeps it in check.

Reflecting on the 17th anniversary of my Dad’s passing tonight with a Camacho Factory Unleashed and some Asleep at the Wheel (one of his favorites) on the juke. I’m pretty sure he’s around because the bird sightings have been crazy! A Cardinal pair, a Downey Woodpecker pair, a Red Winged Blackbird, a Yellow Bellied Sap Sucker, a Coopers Hawk and a Ruby Breasted Grosbeak. All in the span of a half-hour! The Grosbeak I’ve seen three times in 20+ years here and of course he shows today.IMG_3025.jpegIMG_3019.jpeg
