Lost my Mom early this morning. The gal was 93+ years old and still feisty right to the end, but she just plain wore out and couldn't go on any longer. I imagine right about now she's filling my old man in on what he missed around here in the 30 years since he passed from this life... and the thought of them together again kinda makes me smile.
So..next time you pour yourself a bit o' barley, raise the glass and toast this fine lady who loved her family and who was loved much in return.
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.
