What a cunning array of stunts!

Gary, that is two awesome posts in a row. I think it may be a personal best!

Not quite the same as what is in this thread but motivating none-the-less.

Can't agree more.  I have really enjoyed the refreshing commentary Grohl has had the past couple years about music does not need to be perfect.  Here is a really good Q&A (killer video too!) with Grohl.

Thanks for posting that AVB!  Also, congrats on your ten year anni!

Hear, hear, AVB.  For those that are interested, Dave Grohl made an amazing documentary about the "golden age of analog"...Sound City.  The process of making music is so very different now than it used to be.  Banging it out in the garage has been usurped by digital manipulation and effects.  Can't recommend the movie enough:

Edited to add - here's the trailer - turn it up....;-)

Grohl is a smart dude, and beyond that, he is one hell of a musician.  If you ever read into Kurt Cobain, before he went deep into drugs, he was always telling people about how talented Grohl was.  Oh, and Grohl could have gone the same route as Cobain, but chose differently.

So true.  Lo-fi bands are fewer and fewer, and the ones that used to record with minimal production (Black Keys, Jack White) start sounding like pop music as soon as leave the minimalism behind.
