They didn't lose a single game. Undefeated. 17-0. No Losses. Any other team end the season with a perfect record? The Steelers didn't. '72 Dolphins are the BEST TEAM EVER! True, the '78 Steelers were more talented, but there is no question who is the best team, it's the only team not to lose a game in a season!

I'm biased, but I thought the Patriots/Panthers Super Bowl was one of the greatest to watch. High scoring,last minute drive, a out of bounds kickoff with a minute left, and the vintage Vinatieri field goal to win the game with 4 seconds left. Doesn't get much more exciting than that.

From 1972 through 1974, the three years I played high school golf in Karns City Pa., I was undefeated and untied but I think there may have been a couple people who were better than me in history

Going undefeated in the NFL is more luck than talent......it's just too damn hard to win them all...........The Patriots are living proof of that.

False. There a number of factors that can contribute:

-quality of competition
-luck
-injuries
-individual skill vs. skill as a team (as in a star doing a large amount of work)

Going undefeated is a hell of an accomplishment, I just don't think record is enough to deem a team the best.
