Tabacalera Perdomo Inventory Blowout!

I'm gonna say this once and then I'm gonna get pissed.

TAKE YOUR CLUB STOGIE BULL$HIT BACK TO CLUB STOGIE.

Nooner and company if you don't like it here then go away. Club Stogie doesn't take garbage from other boards so don't bring garbage from there, here. CS has the "hearno, seeno, speakno policy so go back there and be nice. Or you can stay here and enjoy the freedom of uncensored thought and expression.

Oh yeah, we're gonna start chargin' all you bastids a dime a word, maybe then you can make an argument without writing a freakin' book.

Question: Did TW really say he charges so much because he wanted to keep them in stock and not because of the one hundred fifty percent profit?

Nooner, this is the way this type of thing is handled. If that bothers you, I would suggest you avoid these kinds of threads as we certainly don't plan on changing the way we handle things on your account.

No problem, and I will continue to defend mine, and to be reasonable.

Glad you aren't pi$$ed yet! ;) Hope you don't have to say it again.

I didn't bring any garbage here, I just responded to that which I saw, so no need to take the garbage away.

Since this is the home of uncensored thought and expression, I'm glad that I won't be banned from this board for disagreeing with the 'gouger' sheeple.

I  smiles!

He can rant all he wants on the "other" forum he posts on. Fine have your opinions, but don't hijack a thread.. There are plenty of other places to post...

And as far as generosity... I can't even count how many times I've thrown in freebies or given better deals to customers placing order...

That is amazing. So basically, correct me if I'm wrong, TW is charging his monumental markup on Opus IN OUR BEST INTEREST. So that these cigars will be available to US if we should want them and not "some rich punk" if he should want them. And everybody knows only WE would buy them at those prices and "some rich punk" wouldn't buy them. And TW would automatically be able to distinguish US from "some rich punk" because WE... ummm... WE..... hrmmmm.... Tell me again how he would tell US from "some rich punk" during a transaction?
This is an interesting concept TW... I'm gonna have to think about this some more in order to get my head completely around it... or failing that... swallering it hook line and sinker... or I fall off the turnip truck or sunthin.

GG - I appreciate that you are tryign to look at this from a rational point of view, if you care to hear Maarit's side of the story, I'm sure she would be more than willing to share.

Okay - you're speaking for Maarit - but I'd ask that you please let Maarit speak for herself. I've solicited her input. She's said what she said, and apparently does not want to speak on the subject anymore - she said so...

This incident was not the first time someone apparently got her ire up - there have been other instances. I, for one, am not impressed with any of the ways I've heard her handling herself - both in public and private. If she chooses to remain silent - or post her position publically, PROFESSIONALLY that's one thing. If she chooses to handle it privately and be obnoxious, that's quite another. That's her choice and there are consequences...

I've seen some of the private messages she's sent KB and others, and I'm not impressed. She certainly is not doing herself any favors by acting malicious in her PM's - telling someone they need "professional help", or some of the other caustic remarks she's made. This is not the way I would choose to conduct myself if I were in her situation as a cigar retailer. But that's just me... ;)

...and THEN there's the issue of the pricing.... But that's a WHOLE 'nother story... :whistling:

I never got any PM's from TWCigars... And Rod told me he never got an e-mail from them either... Personally, it's now been run into the ground. The guys who "get it" got it. And hopefully, the new guys will listen when someone says stay away, instead of putting there foot in there mouth, like Nero did. Yeah, I said that. Nero has done nothing but side with TW and PM me privately saying I should back off, and I have other things (getting off "The List") that I should worry about. Nero, it's "not minding your business" that got you into this, so stop. :angry2:

You don't have enough experience to be posting in this thread.

Obviously the guy has outrageous prices.

Why don't yall experienced types show us an online shop with Opus X in stock at MSRP.

I've got two places I get Opus AND Anejo online at msrp. Not only that, but I get a personal phone call when they come in.

Now considering that you came here and showed your a$$ I can't think of one marginal reason I should hook you up let alone a good one. You want us to give you the golden goose for being a jerk. Yeah, that's gonna happen.

TW is gouging on those cigars. This is not about market strategy, supply and demand or any of that other superior bull$hit yer spewin'. They are doing it because they make three times more profit than they would at msrp. Dispute that genius.

KB you really need to back off. You have gone way too far. It is not your responsibility as an informed member to relay that information to us newbies. The so-called price gougers have to make money too. And besides us newbies get a long just fine paying high prices and feeding these guys/gals. We don't need you established informed members and you FOG's guideing us. Let all the rift-raft per say in here to make the site better and dig in our pocketbooks. I know I would be much better off.

Sarcasm off.
Anyways, thanks for the info KB.

Hey SeanGar,

Understand, oh and unless Jim at your local B&M (my former head boss) is jacking up his opus prices, they are MSRP for TN (they look high because of the tobacco tax) Enjoy Brudda!

Chit!

Sorry Sean, while I may not agree with your position on this thread, my comment above was not accurate. ( I just went and re-read the CS archives )

You treated me fairly and I was thinking of a different CS member when I spouted that last line.

You have my apology.

If you've come here to debate the issues with KB - enjoy. If you've come with the sole purpose of causing a flame war, I'd suggest the site admin here won't be particularly happy with you...

Actually, the first comments below were the only thing that incited my interest in this board's thread. I have no interest in causing a flame war, but I'm not about to twiddle my thumbs when people that I know are insulted.

I decided not to contribute to this board after joining it because of the personal attacks and insults that were rife in certain threads. The same thing is clear below, no matter what Rod appears to believe is appropriate behaviour.

To set the record straight, I wouldn't buy Opus X at list because there are a lot better cigars out there, cheaper. My comments to kayakinboy were because of the hyprocacy of the way that he "exposed" high prices at TW but would not "expose" better prices elsewhere. Yeah ... thats so very helpful.

This "I have my sources but I won't hook you up, jerk" horse**** is ridiculous. I've smoked Cubans since 1981, you think I need your "secret sources for Opus X?"? Spare me.

The TW prices are insane, but I certainly don't need somebody who has been smoking cigars for about a year to tell me that.

You wanna buy from your cigars from TWcigars? You go right ahead. It just shows your knowledge and intelligence level about cigars that much more.

I can see this thread becoming your coffin nail. I suggest you back to the gorilla site and hide there.

For the record. While Clubstogie probably has some good members it also has a bunch of cigar BB rejects so their opinion doesn't hold water here.

Now considering that you came here and showed your a$$ I can't think of one marginal reason I should hook you up let alone a good one. You want us to give you the golden goose for being a jerk. Yeah, that's gonna happen.

You want an answer I'll give you one...

We received a few boxes of Opus only after we had numerous requests for them and due to the fact that we are not a Fuente dealer we did indeed have to mark up the prices. The customers who requested them, knew we wouldn't sell them at msrp.. When I was gone contacting my list of customers, I posted online so if anyone wanted one, they could get one... It's that simple..

My two cents... if you are not a Fuente dealer, and do not get your Opus wholesale, then I don't have a problem with you buying the cigars retail, and marking them up the rather standard 2x (MSRP for cigars is generally double wholesale cost).

It amounts to the same thing. Fuente dealers buy Opus, then mark them up 2x wholesale. You buy Opus retail, and mark them up 2x retail.

The dealers most worthy of scorn are the ones who buy them whole, and gouge their customers by marking them up well over 2x wholesale. I'll take you for your word that you are not one of them.

However, I will not be buying cigars from you. You're also not going to endear yourselves to people by this practice, regardless of the demand from your customers. I'd suggest working on getting a Fuente account instead.

That means that you were lying, and I should not have taken you for your word. That pisses me off, almost as much as your ridiculously justified gouging. Gentlemen, the rope please...
