I propose that we as a board exceed this -

Most users ever online was 600 on Jul 1 2007, 10:18 PM

We could shoot for July 1, 10:18 PM again - Think it can be done?

Think of it as CP's version of the Guinness Toast!

It's funny you brought this up. I've searched and have never found anything of significance but....... can someone tell me what the heck happened on this day, at this time, for so many users to have been online?

Bots is the answer. About a year ago Rod limited the number of bots that the search engines could deploy at once. The result was a much faster board.
 
Thanks guys... that question was driving me nuts but never felt it important enough to start a new thread. Well..... we can do better than a bunch o' stinkin' bots!
