Last chance before your name is released.

I am in no way saying you are a bad trader, but that this is a bad trade. It has been over a month with no payment, and excuse after excuse. The check will be in the mail, I will have a DC# today and on and on and on. No names will be mentioned. YET.

You know who you are, and I hope you read this post and fix this by Thursday morning. I understand life happens, but for a month. I just had three boxes of opus a CP'er bought from me that was supposed to go in the mail Sat, well life happened and they went out MON.... Things happen like that you can't control, (I was in a minor car accident). But time after time it is getting old.. Please rectify this situation.

Once again, no hard feelings on my end, just a little tired of the excuses.

Honestly, you are too nice and should just out him. That sounds pretty unacceptable and sounds like the type of person I would want to know to avoid a trade with...I do not know exactly what board policy is on this, but it soudns like everyone else should at least know about this guy because other people might have outstanding trades with him...

just my thoughts

I think Shane is handling this with class and is probably exhibiting a lot more understanding and patience than most of us would give this person. Hopefully "the yet to be named person" will see the light and take care of business immediately!

Lets not have this turn into a train wreck. Please.

You are handling this correctly and others should learn from this!

It's all about the communication process and you get it. So who ever it is just take care of Shooter like he took care of you, end of story.

Good luck with this.
It sucks to have dog someone to complete their side of a transaction.

Huh, seems like I've seen something like this before...

I think CC had some advice he gave me on my thread several times.

Ya think so Tony? What about the guy that is about to sell this turkey some goods today, or tomorrow, or Thursday and is about to risk being screwed by this un-named possible scumbag simply because Shooter is being nice. Train wreck indeed.

NA

He's giving the guy a last chance for all to see. There is that chance he may bend someone over between now and Thursday, but I think whoever it is knows his time is up!

Shane, you’re certainly a gentleman, however Neal is absolutely right. Clearly you’ve had consistent contact with your buyer and you’ve given him every opportunity to honor his commitment. As a member you also have a commitment to (whenever possible) prevent other members from going through this.

You should call him out. Whether this turns into a ‘train wreck’ or not is entirely up to your buyer.

And furthermore, especially if this is some fly by night newbie, they ought to be outed right away. If it's a FOG with a previosly proven track record then restraint (within reason) is warranted. But a month is simply out of control. It takes a whole five minutes to write a check and mail it. I don't care how busy you are or who died, over the period of a month it's simply bullshit that this person couldn't find five minutes to take care of something this simple. A newbie probably doesn't know better, and should be outed, and a FOG certainly should know better, and this is to the point that they should be outed.

out him! to protect the others from getting taken too or see if its the same that has done to others.

just my opinion :)

What if it's the buyer that dies?

And, really, this could be happening to other people with the same guy. Or said guy could be trying to join a pass or something. This is the type of information that should and needs to be known, and you've been more than kind to him already in allowing a month to pass.

Actually, this would have been the proper way to handle it had you kept it to PM's or e-mails. Once you took it public, as you did by this very post, you implied to the rest of us that we have someone amongst us that has not lived up to their end of a deal. You owe it to the rest of the community to lay the facts out.

You unfortunatly started the trainwreck when you started this thread! It's best for all of us to know so we may be able to help you get this person motivated to get his shit in line!

Another thing I thought of, from experience, is that perhaps Shooter is worried that if he publically outs this slacker, then he certainly has blown his chances of getting his $$. When I did it recently I just decided that the cash (which wasn't a large amount) was gone, and the community deserved to know about this guy just in case he was getting ready to do it to someone else. If someone gets publically outed, then there's a good chance they'll just turn tail and run, and we'll never see em again.

I don't know if I'd quite agree with that. Giving the person the public heads-up that they were out of chances isn't exactly starting a train-wreck. Like preembargo said, whether it turns into a train wreck is entirely up to the buyer.
