Well I saw it and decided to gift it to someone just because it looked cool, but it also scented-

Without knowing I think I just purchased one of the coolest things I have seen in a while, Catalytic or Effusion Fragrance Lamp. Here is a link for those of you who are interested.

Purpose and Specs-

This thing is wonderful, after getting it in the door I got it set up and man it smelled devine Filling the apartment in just a few minutes!!
For those of you who have wives/ gf's that give you hell over the cigar smell one of these might help-
From what I see they are substantialy cheaper online and you can use different scents for fuel...

Fuel/Scents

Small world, I was in the cigar shop fri night and i got a cell call from my buddy's GF. She wanted to give me the gift she got me that night before she went out of town. My thoughts where oh Crap, I didn’t get her anything. Didn’t know her and me were on that good of grounds. Anyhow they had these things there too so I grabbed one and she loved it. Those cigar shops always seem to save the day. They are kind of cool actually, I don’t know if its something I would buy for myself or another guy but cool none the less.

Got one of the Lampe Berger ones as a Christmas gift from the wife. Did not get to try it out before we had to leave to spend Christmas with my folks. I plan on trying it out (with a nice cigar) tonight!

La Tee Dah are petroleum based and the Lamp Berger are alcohol based. The scents that Lamp Berger has are made for them by Chanel. The people at La Tee Dah started there company because the liked the Lamp Berger but didn't want to pay the price for the fuel. I don't know how the La Tee Dah could work as well as the Lamp Berger. They both use a super heated stone but the alcohol has to burn cleaner. Enjoy you lamps either way you go.

Just thought I would post on how well the lampe berger actually worked. Wife was out at her work Christmas party when I got home last night. Fired up the lamp and let it run for a half hour first, then enjoyed a nice AF cuban beli. Let the lamp run about 20 min's after I finished, then shut it off. Wife came in and asked if I had just run the lamp or if I had a cigar as well...she really could not tell!
