I just got my senior member status on the last board now I gatta start over oh well! LOL
Right now I have only recieved one request for my address for the insurence it would be a shame for a great I dea that would benifit our little group to be lost in the shuffle and forgoten, by monday I should have a good set of rules and stuff made and posted.

with K.Stevenson that makes 3 including me I know everyone would want there pass insured!8) Plus its just good business to insure such investments.:)

Thats a great Idea it will save you paying shipping twice K.stevenson is after you that will save him to. You guys are great thats 4 people for insurence.

Good idea. Be sure to clearly mark the bag/container holding the insurance smokes so no one accidentally picks them. I'll add my contributions there.

Ok, here is a preliminary on the rules for the insurance setup.C.P.I.=Cigar Pass Insurance, protection and security for the average passer.Obligations of the administrator: Me DarrenR at the moment
1.)I will maintain the cigars in a safe and humidified environment.
2.)I will supply a updated list of insured passers every time some one joins.
3.)I will supply a list of the contents of the insurance fund. This is for mine and your benefit to maintain a good account of what was paid.
4.)I will administer the insurance when needed.
5.)Any decisions with regards to the insurance will be done with the consent of the stakeholders, that would be those insured. This includes how much and what to be administer upon request.
6.)Please let me know if I left anything out.Obligations of the insured:
1.)Send 2-3 cigars to be stored for insurance.
2.)After the initial collection no more will be needed until the insurance is used. This may be different depending on hoe everyone feels, maybe 2 a year.
3.)If the insurance is used a request for refill may be sent out depending on how much of the stored insurance is used.
4.)Announce at the beginning of a pass (that you start) that it is insured. To promote insurance for others to join.
5.)Sleep well at night knowing that your precious cargo is safely insured with CPI. (Cigar Pass Insurance)
6.)Please do not try to take advatage of this service between friends. It is being created to protect your investment as well as others.Rules:
1.)All insured passes must have a complete inventory of the contents prior to being mailed.
2.)All passes at every stage will need a conf. # through whatever delivery service that is used. Preferable USPS.
3.)This will only apply to passes started at Cigarpass.com.
4.)It would be greatly appreciated if cigartracker.com was used to keep all this info. I know my first pass didn’t use it but I will never start another without it. A wonderful job GilV has done on that site and idea.
5.)All of this information will be required to prove the authenticity of the lost pass.
6.)The insurance only applies to the box pass starter not those involved in the pass.
7.)If a good record of give and takes is kept by the pass and there are insured passers in the pass it may be voted to supply the insured people with a sympathy replacement for there losses but the pass starter is the top priority since they have the most to lose.
8.)Refering to obligations of the insured #2 if the insured agree a possible raffle, auction or something may be done with the over run . This depends on the amount of people and how they wish to deal with this. This issue will need great consideration. If anything is left out or if you want to discuss this stuff let me know through the board so we can all discuss it. I would like to thank DustinB for the great idea. If you want in e-mail me I will send you my address. I hope we all consider this it is for the good of us all.

We briefly chatted about the proposed insurance rules last night. If I remember correctly, everyone involved in the discussion thought it was a good idea.I'll have my contribution to the fund to your soon. (That box should be here any day now)

Darren: You box is too full to hold any more cigars. :) I've taken the insurance bag out of the box and will be sending it in a separate box with your pass.I'm adding the following to the insurance pool:
1) A. Fuente 8-5-8 maduro (Thanks Ed for turning me on to these!)
2) Montesino pyramid maduro
3) Havana Classico churchill
4) Montecristo #2 (Dominican)

Those will make great additions to the insurence fund, you are great man. :)

Darren,Been a little under the weather, so I've not had a chance to send out my cigar insurance premium. They should go out on Wed.

Thanks for the good word about cigartracker.com I believe it is one of the best ways of keeping an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all passes.I will be happy to work with Darren or Dustin or anyone else to include the CPI information or a maker in Cigartracker to help CP/CPI members.Just let me know how I can help:cool:
