Question about Cigar 'seconds'

I've done some research and found some info on Seconds from an old online post. I converted it to a Acrobat Reader File, but the info is from 1998 or something. I was wondering if there was any new info on other brands or just some newer updates.

Base on the "Seconds" list, can you all recommend a couple of bundles or brands that I can purchase for trying and aging ?

I have only bought a couple of bundles of seconds, Perdomo Cuban Cafe and Indian Tabac Super Fuerte. I was happy with both and they smoked the same as the first rate ones for about a $1 a stick. You should check out Cigarbid they have some great prices. Right now they have Perdomo 2 Cameroon Milenario mistakes with the auction ending tomorrow night. You should be able to get these for under $40 for 25. These are very good smokes and I've heard they are the same as the regulars. They also have El Credito who make the La Gloria Cubana, these are strong. And Super-Premium 2nds by Villazon Rothschild Maduro home of Punch & Hoyo de Monterrey.

Hey Matt,

you might be missing half the picture.. The sticks with 3 digits, such as #749
are Mac seconds. The ones with 2 digits are Partagas seconds. Get a 2 digit Old Fashioned with a Maddie wrapper and chances are its a decent smoke..

By the way, my name is not Tom. Tom Mullaney was the guy who originally made the list in 1998. It hasn't been updated since and I was unable to contact him, so I'm trying to update further. I still have his name on the list since he did most of it.

By the way I added a Web version of the list in addition to the Acrobat Version. Both links are now in the original post.

I spent a bit this afternoon working on getting a bit more Old Fashioned information. I haven't corellated any of the 1 digit (Punch/HdM) sticks to their 1st quality counterparts however I did find the sizes. I also filled in a few gaps on your Macanudo and Partagas ones.

I just bought Punch seconds and they are great. The shop also had Mac's and Partagas seconds.
You can find them at the online site bighumidor.com. Might have to ask which is which.

Ya, the ones on BigHumidor.com seem to be 'Old Fashioned' as stated in the Seconds list. There are many places to buy them. For a list of some check the site in my sig

I've updated some things on the second list. The Flor de Ybor section now has sizes listed. I also move Consuegra (Connies) to the Verified section, since everyone seems to agree on this. Plus fixed a couple of small grammer mistakes. If you guys notice anything please notify me by posting a reply to this thread.
