I'm moving soon...how do I transport my stash?

For what it's worth: I moved 2,100 miles in my car about 3.5 years ago. It was just me, so I had a 50qt cooler in the passenger seat, my 150 count Vicksburg in the passenger seat floor, my 125qt and another 50qt in the back seat, and a 50qt and two 20(or so)qt in the trunk. All of them were...

    Super Premium 2nds

These are my favorite value smoke. I've got a few bundles mellowing out. They usually have a good amount of bite to them fresh off the truck, which I like. After about two years they have mellowed a bit, but still have a fairly pungent woody taste and aroma to them. Thumbs up.

    Rothman Bros. Fundadores Longfellow Maduro

I agree that these are nice cheapy smokes. They always come in yellow cello, too. I guess no one ever buys them. Good find.

    Gurkha X-Fuerte

Nice review. They are good looking sticks. I'm interested in how you saw this as full bodied? I went through a few torpedoes and thought them mild at best. It could just be the difference between the sizes. Anyway...

    Now that's good finagling!

    El Mejor Maduro Torpedo

These things are descent. They always burn uneven from start to finish, but the taste is acceptable. If you lick your finger and rub it on these things, you'll end up with a brown color on your finger. I've done this test to many maduros I have and only found a few that do this, including El...

Anyone tried the Gurkha Class Regent Nepalese Warriors?

Hey, I bought that deal. The aniversarios look awesome (never had them before). I've gone through about 5 or 6 of these cigars after picking up a couple bundles when they went on sale for 15/$45 or whatever it was a month or two ago. Nepalese = tasty to my buds. I believe the prevalent taste...

    Bolivar Cofradia/Fuerte

I've had the Size A Oscuros. Got a 5 pack a while back and have gone through 3 of them. I have nothing but good memories of them, but can't remember what they were like, since it's been a while.

    Stick Storage

In my opinion (which only matters to me), cello off in the soon to be smoked rotation (let them soak up that cedar taste/smell) and cello on for long term storage. For me, soon to be smoked = smoked within 1 month.

    Dang you all......

Sweet. 3 150qts! I'm up to 3 54qts, 1 29qt, 1 500 count, and 4 desk tops. Also I came up with an inventory database. It was up to date until last month when my credit card was burning a hole in my pocket and I had to skillfully make room in the coolers. (now using a temporary tupperdore)

    Connies

I've only tried the #9 maduros based on reviews. Got them about 4 months ago. Have gone through 3 or 4 so far. Last one I had was 2 months ago. They weren't Super Premium 2nds at first (#9s were way too harsh), but after the 2 months they started to taste similar (i.e.- yummy).

    Morning Smokes

OK. Those are all impressive morning smokes. Mine are limited to a nice cup of coffee and either: a) Don Kiki Green Label - Double Corona b) Don Elias - Toro or c) Rothman Brothers Fundadores - Casa Grande Their flavors are not that impressive by themselves, but with coffee they're great.

    My cooler-dor moving question

Cool car! Looks almost as good as mine. Well, I think I just solved my problem. Just bought a new car and will drive vs. fly out. It's a Focus (no laughing) and has enough room in the car for the coolers. Now I just have to break in the engine within the next 4 days. Then the long drive to...

Perdomo Signature Collection - Diablo (Perfecto)

Uh oh. Does that mean that you think the Signature wasn't as good as a Mac? Thanks for the review. I enjoyed it IMMENSELY! P.S. - You may have saved me from a bad investment.

    My cooler-dor moving question

Hey. Thanks for all the replies. I was stressed out this weekend over my "little" problem. However, I spoke with the relocation department and told them that I had very expensive cargo. They kinda took it lightly when I told them it was cigars, but when I estimated their value they said it...

    Perdomo Signature

Ah ha. So you remember it as being decent, but nothing that memorable? Going from the garble on the site: "Using Nick Perdomo's access to the world's top tobaccos, the blend has been tweaked and enhanced - resulting in a fantastic mild to medium-bodied smoke that answers the bell every time."...

    Perdomo Signature

Finally. Some guys with something positive to say, if only for the Perdomo name. However, that doesn't really help me out with this decision. I just bought a bunch of Gurkha's with a "free" Perdomo sampler (let's see...1 Signature, 1 Champagne, and 1 Slow Aged). I guess I'll wait...

    My cooler-dor moving question

I didn't want to hijack AztecKing's thread, so I started a new one. I'm moving soon and am a bit worried about my collection. I can move a good amount in my bite sized car, but have some 52-qt coolers that would only fit in my car if a shrink ray was available to me (I used the search function...

    JR Alternatives Edicion Limitada

The Boli Belis are nice. Had one last night and really enjoyed it. They are pretty straight forward until the last 1.5" or so, where they have a nice toasty, kinda "cocoa-y" finish. Went well with Taco Bell. As for the ELs, I also have some Cohiba Double Coronas. I didn't notice a...
