Several posts around the net today report that Master Roller Rodolfo Taboada passed away yesterday, December 14th. Still searching for additional verification, but it seems legit so far.

From the CA forums:

[background=rgb(250, 248, 220)]Master Roller Rodolfo Taboada Campa died this Morning of a massive Heart Attack. He was 72 years old.[/background]

I'm one of the lucky guys that has enjoyed his cigars, and even have a precious few in the cabinet. They take on a whole new meaning now.

Rest in peace, brother of the leaf.....

R.I.P.

I remember the discussions we had about his cigars around the time I joined CP.

Very sad day in the cigar world indeed,

Earlier this year Leyva passed away in his late 70's. He was considered #1 on the island for a long time. God bless'em both. John

This is truly sad to hear.  I enjoyed his company on a couple of occasions. His cigars were fantastic. He will be missed by many.

I'm just now seeing this.  Sad, truly was one of the best.  RIP...
