I recently subscribed to Thompson Cigar. I suspect that they own, or are owned by Cigars International. Anyways, they give a Veteran discount with free shipping (and a $15 kick for new subscribers) AND the first email was "take another 30% off site wide. Not EVERYTHING - but enough stuff that I was happy with the selection. And YES, they DO send a lot of emails.

Yeah, you're kinda right. Here's where it gets fun.. Thompson was recently acquired by STG (Scandinavian Tobacco Group). CI and Cigar.com, are owned by General Tobacco. WHICH, in turn, is also owned by STG.

All very confusing, I know. That may be the point!

Glad you're able to stack all those discounts though! CI also has a Vet and First Responder discount.. I believe it's 10%. Lastly, didn't know you are a Vet.. thank you for your service!

I love it! Dude, when I get my humi finished, and start the process of moving all my sticks into it.. I have TONS of those kinds of sticks.. all stuff that's same or similar to stuff you're posting here.. and they all probably have 10+ years of proper aging on them.. and they'll all be heading your way!

It's gonna be a total blast-from-the-past for me.. and a lot of the other guys here too.

Back to basics.

Fidalgo Negro Churchill. A mellow Dominican with a Maduro wrapper.
Just one of a large sampler of el cheapo cigars for less than a buck.

This one was a pleasant coffee/cigar experience.

I'm not normally into these dark cigars, but this one was a pleasant surprise. Excellent smoke.

Gurkha Status. A $2.58 mellow Dominican with an Connecticut wrapper.
Decent smoke with good construction and a very even burn.
This one spent about two months in the humidor @68%.

It's a 2-fer day. A couple of smokes from those nice folks at Olivia.

1. NUB Maduro. Nicagraguan with a Maduro wrapper. The literature say "medium", but this one was more like a "full". Very flavorful. A little strong for my tastes. Still, a very well behaved cigar.

2. NUB Cameroon. " " Cameroon. An excellent medium bodied smoke. It also was well behaved. I really liked this one.

Hoya del Jefe 1890 Centennial Reserve in 7.5 x 49.

Mild Nicaraguan with Dominican fillers and an Ecuador Connecticut wrapper.

Everyday online price 50 cigars/$90. Puffy price <$1.

This is your basic el cheapo early morning/coffee stick.
Decent smoke with good construction and a respectable burn. Stayed lit and no touch-ups.

6 x 60 Graycliff G2. I've nearly emptied a cardboard box of these, and they've all smoked quite well. They're a mellow+ Nicaraguan cigar with
Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers, and an Ecuador Connecticut wrapper.

$4 or $5 everyday online price - certainly <$3/ea with a sale.

Nicaraguan with an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. The literature shows this as a full strength cigar, but this one must be defective. It's only a "medium".
