I am getting a lot of PM's about hotel rooms. I live about 7-8 miles from Charles Town and about 8-10 miles from Harpers Ferry. There is not much to chose from when it come to Hotels. They are motels around here. I would suggest the Turf Motel, but it is in the middle of town and I have never stayed there so its a crap shoot. There is a Comfort Inn in Harpers Ferry.

I will have my camper availible for a rest room. Also I am looking into Port-o-Johns. I should have plenty of room for tents or Pop-ups.

If you are DRINKING I would suggest you do NOT drive. The police around my parts like young or old drunk drivers. :love: Plus I don't do to well with drunk drivers (I have my reasons)so I will call the police on you if you try to drive drunk. Sorry but I would rather see you in jail than to have you kill someones mom.

If you are flying in. I will do my best to have a tent and sleeping bag for you. Please let us know that way some of the BOTL that are driving can bring extras if need be.

This is shaping up to be a great event. Thanks to Hillbilly for starting this. I am looking forward to having you guys at my house. So lets do this right and everyone will have fun. And again you can bring your dogs if you would like. Just make sure they can get along with other dogs please.

A very good point. I'm sure that everyone that is going to be attending will be responsible about everything and respect your property. I don't see any problems arising from our group.
 
Damn, every few days I read the new posts on this thread....
How long a drive is it from Connecticut? there's this terrible little voice in the back of my head saying "the drive wouldn't be too bad...and Laurie would totally understand....really, man, you should do it." That voice is going to get me into SO much trouble someday.
 
I am about 60 miles east of Washington DC. Not far from Interstate 81 near Winchester Va and Interstate 70 near Hagerstown Md

I don't mind drunk ppl, but I do mind Drunk Drivers. Just don't want anyone to get hurt. You guys can get as drunk as you want, make as much noise as you want. As long as everyone has a good time.

Since I haven't been camping since I was in the scouts, I will have to find a nice cheap tent online. I have a few sources....something that will fit my nice queen size air matress!

Pop does not know, yet, so don't spoil the surprise. I thought I'd let him know on Sunday when I call him for Father's Day.

I'll have Taylor in tow. (That's my 15-year old son for the benefit of the other BOTLs in attendance.)
 
I need to read more now that the move is over and we're getting settled in . I need to check with the wife but I think we should be game for this. Sounds like a great time. She's been wanting to hit Charles Town Slots anyway.
 
I will be there along with the woman and my dog. I will most likely be coming from Rochester, NY so if anybody needs to hitch a ride, shoot me a PM.
