Yesterday, Boulevard's Smokestack Series Saison and the Sixth Glass. So good. Today, Furious and will soon crack a Bitter Brewer. Wife is on her third Amstel. If I can switch her to wine, tonight will be epic.

Pics or it didn't happen. :p

So far I've had a pretty good beer weekend. Here's what I remember.

Great Divide Titan IPA
Lagunitas Hop Stoopid
RR Pliny the Elder
Long Trail Brewmasters Reserve DIPA - First time I've had it and its a freaking awesome beer.
1998 Harvest Ale
2009 Deschutes Mirror Mirror
Portsmouth IPA
RR Temptation 003
Siberian Night RIS
Boulevard Saison with Brett

Had a Goose Island IPA last night.. really didn't do too much for me, I am a big IPA fan and find most of them to be enjoyable but this one just wasn't that great for me.

What did you think of the Boulevard Saison?

It was pretty damn excellent. There was a pronounced funky tartness the Brett added to it that I loved. The depth of flavors was so freaking deep. Really impressive.

Enjoyed both the Surly Bitter and Furious over the weekend. Both were great beers.

I got a growler of Saranac Black Forrest that was outstanding. Rich, dark beer that's not too sweet and has a Guinness-like head on it.

Boulevard just released the second batch of the Saison Brett. I drank my last bottle of the first batch a couple of weeks ago, the Brett was really coming around. It was also getting very carbonated.

Gonna try the Goose Island IPA again tonight, giving it another go without having strange foods and other beers to taint my opinion.. Hopefully it will be better the second time around.

If you haven't tried Boulevard's Sixth Glass, I highly recommend that as well (Thanks again Brent).

I have had Sixth Glass and loved it. The one I really want to try is the Bourbon Barrel Quad.

Hey Pete, I will have to look and see which batch it was but I am assuming it was the latest since it just showed up here. It was super carbonated, the cork about took out an eye!

Apparition Amber Ale 8.0 APV - my 'go to' beer there.
Mai Honey Bock 9.6 APV
Hefe Weizen 4.5 APV

All from The BrewErie.

Also had a Guiness Stout.

nothing to special.. had two different beers today

Ballastpoint yellowtail pale ale and calico amber

The Saison and Saison Brett are two different beers. The Brett one is a limited edition. Well not that limited, they made like 12,000 bottles. The regular saison is available year round. They're both good.
