Any events planned for October 18th through the 23rd?
I'm going to be in the city then (attending the CMJ Music Festival with my college radio station).
I work at a tobacco shop in Dayton, Ohio, and I figured I should mention this to everyone from the area who's a fan of Patel:
Rocky Patel will be at The Wharf in Beavercreek, Ohio, on Wednesday, October 20th.
The big thing at the shop will be the introduction of the Fifteenth Anniversary cigar...

Like I said, mine did not come with the cigars inside.
I just got me one of those limited edition CAO Sopranos humidors.
I started the seasoning process around 1PM (Wiped it down lightly, layed a damp/nearly-dry rag on the surfaces for a few hours, then replaced that with a bowl of distilled water and my humidification jar).
By the time it hit 7PM...

I just recalibrated my hygrometer, and it turns out it was a couple of percentage points too high, so the humidity in the box seems to have been decent all along.
I'm gonna look into those beads, though, just to see.

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. But I wanted to ask, whats the difference between the humidity beads and the humidity gel jar that I'm using?

Alrighty, got me a small 20-cigar humidor. I believe I seasoned it well, as it is holding its humidity fine. I have an analog hygrometer that I salt-test calibrated, and it currently reads 72%, but I'm judging that as a slight discrepancy since I'm using a humidity gel jar in the humidor, which...
