I tell ya, if one more person wishes me a happy Memorial Day, I think I'll scream. There ain't nothing happy about today. Today is a day to commemorate our 1.2 million war dead.

I read that to my students every year, and it gets me right in the feels every damn time.  There's not much else can be said.
