There are other videos of the metal storm sentry gun in action but its never to many. One million rounds per minute claims a serious boast, and more than likely faster than would ever be needed but still good stuff.

as awesome of a feat as that is....I am wondering about its application. If you really need to lay down that much fire, why not just drop a bomb?

Exactly but set it to fire 10 000 a minute and plant near the white house,pentagon, etc etc...Or in the case of Iran that has a standing army of militia. Use it on a track or droid.

Its a sentry gun. Its use would need to be very precise so using it in the same fashion as a bomb would be very impractical. It is a very cool piece of hardware though. Kinda makes my profession obsolete though...
