Beers and Cigars

For those enjoy a beer with their cigars, what type of beer do you like? I prefer the darker full bodied beers. I also like a good raspberry or light strawberry blend beer with my cigars. Sometimes I go for a good strong German beer.

I like a stout or at least a dark beer with a cigar. It compliments the flavor better than a lighter beer.

I prefer a ice cold Labats Blue or Molsen Ice with a full flavor cigar... The flavors complement perfectly
A good pino or shiraz as far as wine is exelent with an "S" series
Personaly though a great cigar makes any drink look good! LOL 8)

I prefer a dark beer myself. Something on the order of Guinness or Murphy's. Also good is a nice Black&Tan.

Oatmeal stout or a good porter. My local bar is a cigar friendly microbrewery. I can work on two vices at once!

Samuel Smiths Pale Ale is my personal favorite. Not available everywhere, but if you can find it, I would recommend it highly. Great with full flavor cigars.

Labatt's Blue even though it doesn't taste as good here as it does in Canada, is still my favorite for cigar accompanient (sorry about the spelling)

I prefer Mexican beers, so lately it's been Negro Modelo. When I was in Moscow I was turned onto a couple of Russian beers but I don't remember the names and haven't been able to find them around here. A nice cold Bud Light is always nice too.

When I drink beer with cigars, it's either an Anchor Steam (my favorite beer) or a Sierra Nevada pale ale.

Both are terrific!

ya gotta go for the Leinenkugal's Bier.
it is a 'large' microbrewery in the Wisconsin Northwoods.

They make just about any kind, holiday blends, doppel bocks, Honey Weiss, Cream, Red, plus a few more.

Worth a try, all of them, I like the Honey Weiss with a med./mild cigar.
