Chevy Truck owners PSA!

Good to know, I'll be looking for a 3500 diesel in a year or so, and no way I'm dropping the coin for a new one, and most of what I've been looking at have been around that year.

The HDs are usually always a model year or two behind the 1500s as far as upgrades. The suspension on those things is TOTALLY different, so I can't speak with any sort of real authority on the HD relevance. There's a Dodge forum I'm a long-time moderator for where I used to spend hours and hours reading and learning about my truck (and other vehicles). I don't visit it as often anymore, and like most forums has slowed down a bit since social media took off. It's still a wealth of info in the archives, though.

Compared to my 13 F150, my 21 Ram is several steps nicer. Even though it's slower.
My son buys a new $70K truck every two years. He bought the new Ram a year and a half ago and he says it is the best truck he's ever owned.

I'd love a new Ram 1500. I just wouldn't love the car note it would require. ;)

He says that he has built up so much equity over the years in the trucks he has bought, that his payment not that bad. But his idea of "not bad" and mine are quite different!

I thought is was kinda funny when I had to take Fi-Fi into the woods to pull out my son-in-laws 4WD tractor.

ha! I used to have a sticker on my YJ that said "Hummer Rescue Vehicle". But the Jeep kept breaking down so I took it off. :( Kinda embarassing to be sitting on the side of the road waiting for a tow truck with a sticker like that.

Paid off my truck with insurance money in 2007. Soooo: $550 x 12 months x 14 years. I'm not complaining.

I miss my "banana boat".. 2003 Hummer H2, supercharged, SS headers... Big mud/snow tires... My son and I would "try" to go out and get that thing stuck... we never could... Got close one time in Mammoth, went into a parking lot where they were piling snow, hit a big bank, all 4 tires were spinning, then I remembered the auto lift feature, raised it up about a foot and drove right out of there...

H2s were great for anything that didn't require massive articulation, like rock crawling or "v" trails that the beam was too wide for. Then, those teeny-tiny CV axles had a propensity to go the same route that my arm did last year. I do like them, but the H3 was the one actually on my want list for a while some time ago.

We also had an H3, and since it didn’t have the power of the H2, and the back a/c vents, we didn’t like it too much.

I always wanted an H1
That’s what my wife wants now... if I can find one with a decent body, I would likely have the engine rebuilt with more power, supercharger and headers, similar to what we did with the H2. My friend John wants an H2 that he can modify and put the triple Tesla motor system in, but I still don’t think it would be enough power... those things weight about 7000 lbs.

What about the new e-Hummer?

What about the new e-Hummer?
If they come out with the H2 design, instead of the half pickup, I would love it... Can you imagine that beast going from 0 to 60 in 3vseconds?
