CP 2015 13 Run Pool Full

Got a little tighter today with the Tigers scoring 13!
 
Well, San Fran has went from being the dead last team in this competition a week ago, to being right in the mix.  Nice to have 8, 9, 10, and 11 runs in their last 6 games!!!
 
Arizona puts up 10 tonight in Miami while the rest of you guys have the day off.

13 Run Baseball Pool Stats
On average, it takes 50 games to crown a 13 run pool winner. You can think of the results of a 13 run pool as mostly random. Generally, higher scoring teams perform better, but you also need the team to be shutout at least once. Take a look at the statistics we gathered for both runs and team performance in a baseball 13 run pool. You can also see results for a specific date on our create a 13 pool page.
Frequency of runs scored
Not surprisingly, scoring exactly 13 runs occurs most infrequently. Most people think you just want a team that scores a lot of runs, which is mostly true, but having a zero run game is somewhat infrequent, too. The chart below shows the distribution of runs across all teams.

Quick glance at the MLB standings show a whole bunch of teams will be playing their 50th game this week and we've got 4 teams with 13 out of 14 boxes filled, and another 10 teams with 12 out of 14. That's incredible. Almost half the players are within 2.  Should be interesting!

Yup 50 games is supposed to be the average # of games it takes to fill the squares.  Of the top 4 teams 3 have been there for a while.  Shouldn't be long now before having a winner.
 
I like Tom's chances....goose egg for Toronto is easier to attain vs the 12 & 13. Time will tell.

Yeah, but he needs a 9 at the moment as well.  Going to be interesting for sure.
 
With the Indians getting 12, that puts five teams with only one block away from winning, two of them belonging to Larry.  The race is getting very tight.

Whoa, thanks for pointing that out, missed that from earlier today.  Go Tribe!  Go Nats!  Funny that neither team needs 13.  Only the Royals need 13 out of the top 5 teams.  
 
What exactly are you saying about two of the teams belong to Larry? :laugh:
