Favorite cigar under $5

Please tell me your favorite cigars under $5. I don't mind spending $10-$25 for a cigar, but I am not wealthy enough to do it that often. Here are my top 5 choices but I am curious what everyone else thinks.

1. Padron 2000 or 3000
2. CAO La Traviata
3. CAO Brazilia
4. Brickhouse Robusto
5. Don Lino 1989

Also, no matter what the price, what do you feel is the best cigar for the price? What cigar would you not mind paying a lot for?

I really enjoy the Pardon Londres Maduro. I find them to be very consistent and tasty. To me they are better than the 2000 and 3000. You can get the Londres for $2.40. I also like the AF Chateau line, they are all in the $4-5 range.I did not enjoy the Brazilla and have not tried the others. Taste is subjective, so give them all a try.

Nothing wrong with this question being asked. As I'm sure you know, cigars are constantly changing. There are many new blends coming out, more so now than ever it seems.

If we always relied on search to answer all questions, then the community would become less and less active. While "search is your friend" is often applicable to threads relating to something along the lines of "how do I season my humidor" or "cello on or off", I don't believe we can tell members that "search is your friend" in a case such as this one.

This is a community, lets keep it alive and active. At times I see members taking a good thread and adding comments referring to another member, only for a cheap laugh. I really don't believe this thread deserves the "search is your friend" statement.

To answer your question, one line of cigars that I like (and that is close to the $5 price tag) is Panacea. Particularly the Red Labels are one of my favorites. They now have a green and white label, which I have yet to try.

Agree with Rod's point on this one. This topic is ever evolving as new stuff shows up, prices change and old stuff goes away. My answer would be Boli PC, Parti Short, PLPC, AF Chateau SG. Thats about as complicated as I get under $5

I agree on the Party Short and the PLPC. They are two of my faves at the moment. I also liket he HdM Petit Robusto as well, but they are a little bit more than 5 bucks.

A search for "budget" or "cheap" would probably turn up more results. Use advanced search and limit the forums searched to the Cigar Lounge, too. Sure, the answers are always changing, but you can get some good ideas from old threads in addition to updated opinions here.
