I am a carpenter who does some fine wood working as a hobby, (with one hell of a woodshop). Does the idea of owning a handmade custom quality humidor interest anyone? I'm just asking so I can see if it would be worth my while to purchase a fairly large quantity of exotic woods. Be honest.......thanks

I will wish you good luck but I can not think of a more difficult arena of wood working to dive in to. Acceptable 50 to 200 boxes are almost free and any one who is going to spend some serious money on a humidor are going to go with a guy/company who has stellar track record before taking a gamble.

I guess it depends on the pricing. If the price is right I am always interested.

I appreciate the well wishes ....i'm just an avid wood worker who's not looking to make a killing, and get his name out there. A guys gotta start somewhere right?

This is true smokehouse....but how about some pictures of your previous work, have you done humidors before, can anyone in the cigar hobby area speak on your behalf?

If you're just now starting and looking to make a name for yourself, then you're probably going to have to offer humidors under cost until you get some backing.

and of course, I'd be more than happy to accept a larger style cabinet humi of your fine work (free of charge of course) to try out, test and report back the findings! I'm sure that would help you on your way.

Oh yeah...you ship free of charge to all testers, right? :whistling:

best of luck... tough crowd! But there is room for quality work and beautiful workmanship. lets see those pics!

Some of those made with exotic woods and beautiful patterns are my favorite. I'd love to see some of your work as well, I've been looking for a larger size humidor for the new room.

I'm ready for a new humidor!

Get some pics up soon. And get your order pad ready.

Being the victim of a weather related humidor disaster (X2), I am in the market for a new humidor. Personally I like the basic woods over the exotic (because they are cheaper), but love to see humi's done in exotic wood.

I would prefer something made by an individual over a mass produced box. The limited production models tend to be more appealing to me. Good luck in this venture, I hope you are successful. Get some pics and pricing up when you get something done. Interested in seeing some work.

I prefer something handmade to something that everybody else has or can get. I have in my gallery here on CP a pic where you can see a beautiful desktop, handmade by a local when I lived in San Diego. It is exotic wood but a very simple design and the label on the top is sharp. I have some Torrey Pine saved to make a desktop here soon. Good Luck.

Peps here like to see pics along the way - you know... CIGAR PORN!

I'll be spending about 10 days on a trip that will start is San Pedro and end in Chula Vista in July, any tips on where to go for some good smokes and a good time?

Give the So Cal Herf Crew a heads up and we can get together to burn a few.

I went into your gallery looking for the humi but I was, uh, distracted.

Best of luck in building em man! I would love to see some pics and depending on price would be very interested in a one off type of humi. :)
