Little contest for you. Normally the newbie gets a welcome package, but lets turn the tables a little.

Everyone who posts a welcome to ME on this thread is eligible for a newbie package coming your way.

Rules -

1) One entry per person only. More than one entry disqualifies you.
2) Contest runs til 3pm CDT on Friday, February 6th.
3) Post your favorite three cigars (the ones you like the most...not smoke the most necessarily.) Yeah, I know, it's hard to pick just three -- but it's my contest, so too bad. If you post more that thee, you're also disqualified.

But then again I haven't tried that many. My strategy is to try from the reviews that sound good amongst the highest rated cigars. (good for me tends to equal mild-medium bodied and adjectives like "creamy", "not-harsh", and "cocoa", or "chocolatey")

AVB - I have a Stewart-Beckwith 38-special (http://stewart-beckwith.com/wall3.htm) so space is not an issue. I use a Set-n-Forget to keep everything about 64 +/-1%, because I prefer the draws and aging at that level.

ABV...don't really have a problem with the sliding door, as it has a pretty decent felt seal anyway...and the set-n-forget takes care of any discrepencies in humidity. I glance at the digital hygrometer once a day, and it runs right on the nuts at 64%. When I open the sliding door, it'll drop a few degrees until I close it up again.

Sean O'Toole, like things creamy, like his irish baleys. He has heard the Davidoff signature 2000 series is really good.

And me, the normal personality, i like cohiba siglo III's. they are some crazy cigars, which... well, nevermind.

Here's how it's worked for this newbie:
I combed through the cigar discussions, made notes.
I sought and bought a few boxes of bargain quality cigars ($1.50 - $2.50 a stick)
Increased my cooler size. Have a few hundred laid down. Total output under $400

Next step is trading and swapping more quality items. Another bigger cooler. Cubans, harvest my bedded bargain sticks starting late 2004. Buy more bargain sticks. Another cooler (label them by year?)
