Just smoked my first Opus X

Congrats on the milestone... you lost your Opus cherry!

My first Opus was wasted on me. I'd just started smoking and couldn't really appreciate the differences between one cigar and the next. I think it was sandwiched between a Helix Blue and a Quorum, so that shows how little I knew at the time.

Now, the last Opus I smoked... well, that's a different story. It was a much happier experience!

Congrats on the milestone! I have my first one sitting in the humi right now. It was gifted to me by a very gracious forumite, and I'm saving it until I've smoked quite a few different 'gars to develop my tastes. I want to really be able to appreciate it's greatness, but your post is really tempting me to light it up. They're impossible to find in my area right now, so my first one may be my last for a little while until I can track some more down.

D

The only thing I'll warn about is waiting too long and building it up (in your mind) too much. Cigars are for smoking... :)

I just smoked my first Opus the other day as well.It was a perfexion 5.I had bought a fiver in April and was giving it some time in the humi. The thing was awesome.Everything about it was great.I think I paid around 10.50 each for them, small cigar but worth it.Enjoy my friend.

Congrats, looks like we are having an Opus party. Start saving your left over change, because the Opus life gets expensive. Glad to see you enjoyed them brother, the longer there in the humi the tastier they get.

I had my first Opus recently thanks to one being in my NST. I was saving it for a special occasion and one came up. We finally were told that we would be starting the trek home from this deployment. So all of the cigar smokers got together and we had a nice smoke out.

Needless to say, the Opus X did kick my ass. I was quite dizzy by the end, but that could have been mixed with the effects of the radiation from the very powerful SPY radar we were standing under. It was a pretty good cigar, it was very windy so it was hard to keep the burn even but I enjoyed the flavors. I don't think my palate was fully developed enough to completely appreciate it. I still have my PAM 64 to try, and I think I might save that either for when we get back to Hawaii or when I get out of the Navy. Those two events are pretty close.

my first was at an Indian casino, i knew i hit the jackpot of cigars, now when i find them i buy the limit and try to let them rest, usually doesn't work. i found some at a local b&m the other day, they had three sizes and a limit of two each, i bought my six and e-mailed a fellow opus junkie, he found  three non-smokering co-workers and took them to the store, he (they) got the rest, hopefully he will share....

I have yet to try an Opus X. Might have break out one of mine....I have 2 just sitting in my humidor.
