I'm watching "Nature" on PBS. They have a great episode tonight about rhinoceroses. I had said in a post yesterday that I was excited about tonights "Forensic Files" marathon on CourtTV but they're reruns that I've seen many times before. :(

That scares me about the rhinos, their dwindiling numbers. Are they having a survival problem??

That scares me about the rhinos, their dwindiling numbers. Are they having a survival problem??

Actually the white rhinos were down to less than 50 (at one point, they were thought to be extinct) in the late 1800's and have come roaring back so much so that they are no longer endangered. :thumbs: The black rhinos are another story. They are working very dilligently to increase their numbers AND relocate them to other areas in Africa.

It was a GREAT show!!

I hope that the black rhinos have the same success story as the white rhinos. I love shows like that. When I was a kid the only way we could see nature shows like that was if the school rented a reel to reel movie and showed it. Shows like that are a good arguement for TV. I hope to catch it on a rerun. Thanks!!

Oh, I saw the apology but it kinda got lost with all the other sarcasm, ignorance and arrogance in your post and IMO, you just kept going downhill from there with your attempts at trying to deflect the discussion to other topics the way Scroto always did when he was losing an argument.

I don't think you're being insincere but I do think you were being arrogant and ignorant and your follow up huffy-puffy, sarcastic comments and they way you twist words don't sit well with me at all.

Questions. I got a questions. How the hell do you "NSFW" a thread you didn't originate? You know, a thread where you're just one in a long line of replies? Can this be done? Also, did the offending picture show any "goodies" or was it just a side angle butt flame? If it didn't show no goodies then it's just too bad for you guys surfing on the company dime. Bill while I agree that a nice little NSFW would have been nice in the title, I agree 125% that if I get in trouble for looking at it at work, it's my own damn fault. :whistling: ;)

I mean if my boss walks in and says "why are you looking at that picture of a girls' ass?" I can't say "Because they posted it and I didn't know it. Fire them!" :sign:

I apologize to the community since this is something I'd prefer to say privately.

The perception of arrogance is from one who assumes he is on the high ground - not always a safe assumption. I don't think any more or less of anyone because of personal details unless they are relevant to the argument. I also do NOT change the subject if I feel my point is weak, I'm big enough to concede. I won't employ cutesie names to unbalance and lower my opponent. In the last year, I've come to realize that you are brutally honest and that is often mistaken for rudeness. You have been a member here for several years and continue to contribute to the community. By that virtue, what you say here carries weight, whether I agree with you or not. I will not hesitate to engage you if I think the point is worthy. If I do, I will engage you on the points and will be careful not to try and hurt your feelings.
 
What a freak'n joke. If the bitching spills over into other threads, those involved will be suspended.
