In my experience rules and regulations are often used subjectively based off of the reader’s interpretation. Your application of them may not be everyone’s, which makes it important to allow for the different voices to be heard equally. One could use your same application of the rules to those that you seemingly side with.

I have seen many of them and also many others that do the same, however, those others condescend in a manner deemed acceptable by the mob, thus they are exempt from scrutiny and protected.

I agree with you but not every rule falls into that situation. A left turn only sign means left turn only. A Red Light means stop and 4 months means 4 months.

What do you do when you invite someone in your house, and the very first thing they do is break your rules of your house? Then, upon explaining the rules, they continue to think your rules don't apply to them.

I would suggest you have it back ass backwards. The "mob" as you call them are "protecting" OUR house.

Yes I have heard that illustration used many times. However, it is not that simple. This is not a house it is a public community. As such it is constantly changing and people that have spent years in online communities know that this is true. Our acceptance of behavior also changes, often based on a mob mentality.We are often only as right as the societal norms of the dominant culture allow. To this there will always be a minority of differing opinions. To only allow the dominant is to choke growth and limit expression, thus castrating a society.

Sure, but the rules you referenced are more or less ones that require a bit of interpretation.

AK I get that you are trying to give a different perspective and I agree with “some” not all of your points... But the 4 month rule is pretty clear and I don’t think it’s up for any interpretation... As for Cigarman123 I will say it seems that he is at least who he says he is, which is a plus for him in my book, because I believe there are many on this forum that are just here to cause havoc. But still that doesn’t mean he can bypass the rules and then take offense when someone calls him out on it... Maybe he should stop being so defensive and just apologize or not for coming in and trying to sell when the rules of this forum Do Not Allow This!!!! I hope he sticks around and can be a contributor, it really is his choice...

I want @cigarman123 and @stogie fan to hang around, if they can work and maneuver within this community. There is room for everyone at this table. But like has been mentioned before, it’s a community and if you cannot follow the norms and rules, this isn’t the place for you. This is voluntary not forced upon folks. There are other forums if you don’t care how this one is run.

Yes Yes - but my friends would run. Except the sheriffs, police and homeland security that hang out they pull their guns. Well protected when they are here smoking cigars...
The armored car driver would pull his gun but probably shoot himself in the foot. He reminded us this morn that when it rains in their armored car warehouse it drips through the bullet holes in the ceiling.
