Hey everyone,

Just wanted to throw this out there, and see if I can help someone have a good day. One of these nights, take the time to cook your wife or girfriend a nice dinner. Something really special that perhaps may take you a couple hours, but will make them really happy once they get home. And don't skimp on the presentation! There's not alot that's as nice as sitting down to a really nice dinner in the comfort of your own home. Perhaps go to the butcher and get a couple nice Filet's, or nice roast. Or some fresh fish. Hit the farmer's market and pick up some fresh veggies, and if you're lucky maybe a fresh baked pie.

Treat someone special! It will make them happy!

???? It took 35 years to get her to do all the cooking, don't mess with a good thing. She also cooks gourmet, i burn water, NO THANKS! :p

trying for another kid Andy?

That sure would be something, since we'll be having our second in about a month. I'll have to ask the pros, but I'm pretty sure you can't start another one until the current one is delivered. :0 And I have plenty of freinds that have kids who are less than a year apart in age, and I don't envy them whatsoever. :sign:

hmmm no wife or GF atm.

Guess I’ll create my own public announcement for us single folk. Get a hold of a friend or even go out alone to a nice bar that has dancing. Buy a drink or two and ask a gal or two to dance (even if you can’t dance) trust me if you play the im really trying card they’ll thing its “cute”. If you have a wing man encourage him to do the same. After awhile bring them back to the table and drink a little harder and see were it leads. Maybe you’ll have someone to cook a nice meal for sooner or later.

Good advice Andy. Since my wife went back to work, I've "taken care of dinner" a couple of times....foodtv.com is a great place to start on the recipe search.

Andy - was this before or after you did the laundry?

Ball busting aside....if I want a nice meal cooked for me, I'd be the one to cook it.

I'm the opposite, my wife is a FAR better cook than I am plus she's off until December on maternity leave so I can't surprise her when she gets home -- she's already there! :)

P.S. It's our 2 year anniversary on Monday, any suggestions Gonz?

Just one question, when do I break out the midget, the clown, and the penguin?

Hmmmm.....Long string of these.....Sounds to me like one of two things occurred. Gonz is in the doghouse or he's completing some sort of sick twisted community service. In either case we're all going to be punished.

The real pros (like me) know that all you have to do is make a couple simple statements and you're done doing laundry for life!

"Well why can't I mix the lights and darks?!"

"What do you mean there's too much stuff in there? It's fewer loads that way right?"

"So what if I put your silk stuff in the dryer"

I'm partial to things that in secret are really easy to cook, but look great once they're done. For example, Snow Crab Legs. All you have to do is boil them for 5 minutes. That's it. Then put some butter (not margerine!) in a small dish and melt it for dipping.

And I like to make it a goal to find something at the Farmer's market that I have not prepared or ever had. Then just search online for an easy recipe.

Apple pie is actually really easy to make from scratch. And apples are just about in season.
