NOOOOOOOO They’re all covered in WHITE MOLD!!
opus113.jpg

The whole flipping box is covered in white mold plume :( . The cigars feel wet so I’m assuming that they’re over humidified. I would ask the seller to replace them, but this is their last box and I don’t want to wait a year or more for another one. :sign:

I think I’ll let these sit out to dry for a day or two. I’ll wipe off the white mold plume and see if I can’t put the cello back on. Apart from this, anyone got some suggestions (and no, sending you the entire box to smoke is not a valid suggestion) :p

Looks like mold. I'd ask for a refund and be notified when they get another box. Either that or you can wipe each individual cigar off and put them in a seperate area of your humi. I wouldn't bother putting the cello back on.

That really sucks that's a beautiful looking box. Hard to tell from the last pic as it's a bit blurry but it seems like mold. Personally I'd return them.

You positive it's mold and not plume?

It's mold. I'd say these have been left over humidified for a long time.

Seperation sounds like a plan. I've smoked cigars with some mold plume before and had no problems. I think I'll take your advice and remove the cello from each stick and store them all in a little humi that I haven't used in awhile. God, Am I pissed

I'd definitely let the vendor know how upset you are about the box.

All right, i just contacted the vendor and asked for a replacement. I doubt this will happen as this is the last box of WOAM that had listed.

And here I was feeling so proud for the price I paid for them

Ask for a refund or...

Take them all out of the cello, wipe them off and put them in a small humi by themselves with DRY 65% or lower beads.

And then wait.

IMO as long as its the white mold that we all have found under cedar sleeves before (and don't tell me you haven't) and not the blueish green mold, your golden.

I'd personally would keep them but demand a partial (read hefty) refund on my hard earned cash, the white mold doesn't effect the taste at all when its been wiped off and the cigars given a chance to dry out.

Agreed. If they're not going to replace them, I'd like to keep them and try them. Mold won't hurt the taste I will certainly ask for some kind of compensation.

How about I pick them up drive them around to dry them out then return some.

:0 Man I am sorry to see that. :(
Bad luck man.

Ouch!
What a bite in the shorts.

I'd ask for replacement though. Let them suffer the headache and not you.

I'm a noob, but I'd be reluctant to smoke anything with mold on it. Shades of Timothy Leary and all. Or maybe that's your bag. Que up "In the garden of eden" and have at it. :sign:

Well, they're all wiped down and set in a little humi below 65%. Most only had a few spots of mold and five were completely covered and three were clean. Still have not heard from the vendor, doubt I will, but it is friday and they might not get to it till monday. With all the drama I think it's time to have a cigar

If you are going to keep them.

Do not put the cello back on. The mold spores are in the cello and you will be back were you started from in a matter of days.

The first 3 pictures were nice.
