Benjiev's post here brings up a really important question that I think we could discuss further.

If you were to die or become incapacitated, what would happen to your cigar collection? I know many of us have collections that easily surpass thousands of dollars and then some, and just like your wife's jewelry and your nice dinner china, that collection warrants special attention. I know that my wife doesn't really know much about my cigars, or who my cigar smoking freinds are, or anything about the online forums where I discuss said cigars.

So what plans have you made?

Crap... Now I'm gonna have to show her where the key is hidden. Somebody has to refil the oasis until someone who knows arrives.

GOOD QUESTION..If I were to not come home today, my wife would probably throw mine in the trash. She has no idea. We need to have a talk.

Here was my answer on the other thread a note to be placed in my humidor:

"Honey,

If you're reading this I'm dead, or I'd better be. Now that I'm dead you can't get mad at me for how much money I've spent on these cigars! Please log on to cigarpass.com, here's my username and password, and contact the following members (their names here) to divide up my collection.

Your Husband."

So here's your official notice, I'll start taking bribes now if you'd like to be included in the above letter as a benefactor of my cigars.

Mine would go to my neighbor down the street. Either that or I'll leave her with a few names from CP.

Thanks, but I don't smoke dog-rockets!

Ummmm...my friends would come over and snatch (hehehe - I said snatch)....they'd snatch and run with the smokes and the humi's!

I purposely got a humi large enough that I could be buried with mine :D.

I think I am going to have to make up a list of names as to who would get them...I guess I never gave it much thought.

I am planning to leave them to my two boys in hopes that they will enjoy them just as much I would have. Hopefully by the time this happens they will be splitting one hell of a collection.

Auction sales are not allowed. Post prices of the bribes you are seeking and maybe someone will help you out.

She would probably pass them off to two of the guys in my wedding party, both of which are in line to become Godfathers to our children if we have that many. They would take good care of the collection.

i have arranged to be cremated...i have instructions to place in the incenerator all my cigars, so i can enjoy a last big smoke in peace.

Gee I hadn't thought about it yet but now that I have... I think I want them all stuffed into a box and cremated with me then our ashes will finally be as one and can be fired out of a cannon Hunter S. Thompson style. Isn't this what everyone else is doing too?

I want to be buried with my cigars. Hopefully, the nicotine will keep the worms away and I'll rise up again in a few hundred years.

Unforunately, I think my little brother will be more than prepared to take my stash :)

My oldest son smokes with me on occasion, so he'd keep a few and send a few out to some of my buddies he's met and heard about over time....

Going to be a while if I have my way about it, though - B.B.S.

Mine go to Devin Cole to do with as he sees fit. I'm down to next to nothing, so I'm sure what he'll see fit is to laugh at my measly portions and let the dogs play with them.......
