I just finished reading an article in Smoke Magazine about Tabasco and it made think about all the different hot sauces out there. My favorites are the green and Chipotle Tobasco’s and my absolute go-to hot sauce is Cholula (most commonly found at Chipotle). I like those because they add spice and heat, but are also very flavorful. I’ve seen some out there that just want to make your ass hurt for days, but that’s not my style. Anyway, what kind of hot sauces do y’all like and enjoy?

I fell in love with Frank's Red Hot Sauce in Iraq. That was the only flavor I had for 9 mos. so naturally I kind of grew attached to it.

I just recently discovered Franks Red Hot, and I gotta say it is good for A LOT more than just wings!
I especially like it on chicken-based pizzas.

Crystal Extra Hot was previously my fav, but ever since Katrina I haven't been able to find a bottle of it.

There is a habanero Tabasco that is really tasty too...

something about cholulo and tapatio gives me instant heartburn...
Plus my brother-in-law calls tapatio 'Burt Reynolds sauce' and that kinda ruined it for me.

I luv me sum hot sauce.

Dave's Gourmet Insanity Sauce for stews, curries, and/or american dishes (wings/ribs, etc). That's the shiz, but it's pretty damn hot.

I also enjoy Tapatio with Mexican food and with Asian dishes i prefer a brand that doesn't have English words (picture of a chicken on the front). I call it "chicken sauce" and everyone knows what i mean. :p

How could I forget Tong sauce! (aka rooster sauce)

We go through quite a bit of that in my house...

Chalula is my go-to hotsauce. Mounds of flavor, some heat, but not too much of anything. Its got the wooden cap, pick up some. It goes great on eggs and pizza which are my two top uses for it.

Some things never change. Worked well on C-rats too.

Doc.

Dave's is the sauce of choice at my place. I think we have 5 or 6 of them now.

Make my own pico-de-gallo and salsa, if it's not fresh it's not home cooking. Of course when we're out i always use Tabasco. :)

Another fan of Franks Red Hot sauce here. I wish it were a little hotter, but I love the flavor. Great on eggs, chili, wings, pasta... pretty much anything I eat. :)
